You sit on the subway, listening to your favorite song. You tap your foot and nod your head slightly. Across from you is the one of the smartest kids in the grade, Aaron Burr. You know he hated Alexander, your brother's best friend. Your brother, (John Laurens) doesn't like him that much either. So you've always had a negative view on him. You study his face intently. He notices, and smiles at you. You blink in confusion. He looks back down at his phone, obviously reading a boring news article, for there were only 2 colors on the page. The subway lurches, and you stand up. Of course, Aaron Burr stands up as well. You look out at the platform from the subway's door as Aaron stands next to you. You don't want to be rude, so you said; "Whatcha reading?" He looks at you and smiles yet again as you walk out of the subway car. "Global warming." He shows you, and you see the author: Alexander Hamilton. You smile and point at his name. He nods and says, "I have to get a good view of my friend's side of the story." He says gritting his teeth while saying friend's. You hold your hand out to him. "(y/n) Laurens." He shakes it, and asks, "Why are you being nice, if you're John's sister?" You pause, not knowing why. "Uhhh, why wouldn't I be?" His puzzled face blows away. "You must know who I am, then." You nod. Both walking to high school, talking about lots of different things. He stops you and says, "Do you, your brother and all your friends want to come to Alexander's and mines election? For student council." You laugh saying, "I'm gonna have to be there! John's going to kill me if I won't. I swear he has a crush on Alex." Aaron's face lights up, but he keeps his composure. He takes out a tiny piece of paper and writes a string of numbers. "My number." He blushes. "In case you need it.." You smile and say, "Alright! Well, I'll see you!" You rush away, clenching the numbers. You wanted to put them in your contacts as fast you can. All you know is, Alex isn't going to get your vote.
