"Do you think he still likes me?" You ask Peggy. "Maybe, but why are you wondering if he still likes you? You broke up." You shrugged, not really knowing why. You sat in silence for the next couple of minutes. "I still like him." Peggy looked at you in disbelief. You both were hanging out in her yellow themed bedroom. The Schuyler family was rich, so she had a decked out room.  Right now, you and Peggy are in sophomore year in high school. The ex you're talking about is Charles Lee.  For the record, he broke up with you because you were friends with John Laurens. Charles thought that you and John were a 'thing'. John was gay, and liked Alex. "Why?!" Peggy asked, clearly confused. "I never said I didn't still like him. He broke up with me. She nodded,"Sounds fair."  It has been a couple of months since you and Charles have broken up. You don't talk, to your dismay. You're trying to stay away, since he clearly doesn't want to see you."So... are you gonna audition for Sleeping Pretty?" Peggy asked., knowing you were uncomfortable. Sleeping Pretty was basically an off brand Sleeping Beauty. "Yeah, I'm gonna go for the main role." You said casually. "Woah! I'm gonna shoot for a lower part. Usually Eliza or Angelica get a bigger part, so I'm used to it." Peggy said in astonishment. You laughed, saying "You got two parts last year remember? Angry and the Witch." You say. The show you did last year was Ice Yellow and the Seven Emotions. Peggy laughed and nodded. "I wish I was as confident as you." Peggy said, smiling. "You can," You insisted, "you just need to believe in yourself!" Peggy nodded and smiled. You can tell she was happier after that pep talk.

AT SCHOOL
"I got it! I really got it!" You exclaimed to Peggy. "Congratulations!!" She said. "Do you know who is playing Prince Charm?" She asked. You shook your head, "The music teacher told me one on one." Peggy 'ahhed' and nodded slowly. "Well, the list is being put up after school, so we just have to wait till then!" She said happily. You rubbed your palms together, nervous. What if it's John? Oh no. Or Hercules? He was... a little intense at sometimes. He liked horses.

2 periods later (after school)

You got nervous as you, Laurens, and Peggy neared toward the crowd of mixed emotions. a.k.a the crowd around the list. Peggy looked at you, and wished both you and John good luck. You both wished her luck and stepped forward and through the crowd. You were somewhat amused, and somewhat angry. This was one of the most cliche things to happen to you. Ever.

In Peggy's Bedroom

"I cannot believe my ex is the Prince. Just when I promised myself to stay away from him. Now I have to kiss him?!" You were pacing across Peggy's room. John and Peggy were both quiet. John was sitting in Peggy's black bungee chair, and Peggy was sitting on her bed clinging a pillow to her chest. You plopped to the ground on Peggy's fuzzy yellow carpet. "Guys, I'm sorry I'm like this. I'm just a little shaken." Peggy nodded, and said,"We totally understand, but the show must go on." You stood up, determined. "I won't let him make me feel this way." John clapped. And Peggy smiled,"yes!" She exclaimed. You all laughed.

5 days later (rehearsal)

"Welcome everyone, please take a seat on the stage." The music teacher instructed. Everyone went to the stage. You instantly found your best friends and settled down. "Now, I want to start quickly. We don't have most of the props, so we'll have to be crafty. We have the stone bed the princess lays on, and some dragon parts. Start with just the lines. No acting no nothing except feelings. OK? OK." The show mostly went smooth. People forgot a couple of their lines. It all came down to the kiss. Charles looked at you, and smiled. You looked back at him and blushed. "NOW KISS! WE DONT WANT PEOPLE THINKING WE HAVE UNWILLING ACTORS!" The music teacher raged. You had to edge across the stage to go near him. "Uh, hi." You said. Both of you looked at the music teacher. The seconds before the kiss were very, creepily silent. You quickly went in for the kiss, and backed away after it finished. "Nice try, but the boy kisses the girl! You better be better next time." The music teacher said. You nodded and rushed back to Peggy and John. "You really do like him still." Peggy said. You nodded and looked at him. He waved and blushed. You smiled back. John laughed, and whispered to Peggy "They're probably gonna get back together." After a couple of months, that's what you did.
