"WELCOMING COMMITTEE!!!!" A couple of guys yelled. "Already?" I thought. I set down my box of things from home as I rushed to the door. "COMING!" I yelled. I opened the dorm to four guys laughing. I heard some girls sighing.  "Seriously? This trick, AGAIN?" The tallest one said. She pushed her way to the front of the group. "Hi, I'm Angelica, your roommate!" She whispered, "Sorry about them, they're the idiots in our grade." You laughed, and she smiled. She stepped  in the room and closed the door on the boys, letting the other girls in. You heard the boys banging on the door. "This is Eliza" she said pointing to the second tallest, then to the shortest. "This is Peggy!" She smiled. Peggy shook your hand. "Nice to meet you guys!" You said.    "Okay, you guys can leave now." Angelica said. They both waved goodbye and left.  Angelica looked at you with a serious face. "Do you like ANY of those boys?" She said with a frown. "There was one-" Angelica cut you off "Is it Laurens? Everyone likes John." She says with a smirk.  "Which one is John?" You question. "Ponytail, freckles, brown hair." She says, unpacking. "Uh, yeah.." you say blushing. "I knew it.  Another girl, lost to the Abyss of boys" she sighs. "Alexander is kinda cute though.." she mumbles.  " I have to go sign up for a club. It's my parent's dream for me to be in a club." You sigh.  "I'm coming with!" Angelica said. You smiled and made your way to the quad.
       The quad was filled with booths and people. You saw the "idiots" near the fountain.  You pointed this out to Angelica, and she pulled you along. "John, this is (y/n)" Angelica said glaring. John smiled and said "Hey. .. I'm obviously John." You both turned to look at Angelica, but she was gone. "Well, see you around, (y/n)!" John smiled. "See you!" You said. You walked away, looking for Angelica at the theatre booth. You both smiled at each other,  not knowing you'd be dating John a couple months later.
