"It's amazing the vans survived," Pete noted, opening the passenger door to the closest one.  Myka nodded as she slipped into the driver's seat.  She slammed on the gas, never a good sign.

"Mykes, we got time.  Literally."

"No, Pete.  It isn't enough.  We're not even turning back time.  We're 'undoing' things.  How do we know any of it will work?  Nothing is normal in the Warehouse!" She laughed bitterly. "Remember when artifacts weren't normal?"

"Yeah," smiled Pete. "Look, it'll be okay.  We'll get Helena back, and we'll bronze Sykes and then we'll do something nice for Steve.  Claude will like that."  Myka sniffed.  A tear dribbled down her cheek.  She pulled over to the side of the road.  She was still for a moment, then lay her head on the steering wheel, sobbing.  Pete unbuckled.  "Okay," he said, opening his door.  "I'm gonna drive."  Myka didn't move.  She stayed in her collapsed stayed, even as Pete opened her door.

Pete stared at Myka.  He hated seeing her cry.  It almost never happened.  It was one of the things he liked about her - Myka was strong.  He held his hand out for her to keep her balance when she got out of van, even though he knew she wouldn't take it.  Pete watched as her breathing slowed.

"How are you this ok, Pete?" she whispered.

"You were tough when we found Jinksy.  It's my turn."  Myka lifted her head and unbuckled.  Much to his surprise, Myka hugged him after she steeped out of the van.

"Thank you, Pete."

"Any time, Mykes."  She wiped her eyes, then got back in the driver's seat.  "What the hell? I'm driving, Myka."

"Pete, you're not gonna floor it.  Get back in."  Pete rolled his eyes, but secretly, he was glad Myka was closer to normal.  Now they could go save the world together.  As usual.
