Pete tore his eyes away from Myka to see something amazing - the warehouse was rebuilding itself. The floor was smoothing over, the walls were rising from the ground, frame by frame. Shelves of artifacts reappeared; first as ash, they solidified into their normal state. Then, in a golden light, Helena was standing in front of them, smiling in the dark vault, as if nothing had happened. She walked through the doorway and into the rest of the warehouse. The purple shield reformed around the Warehouse. Through the doorway,Pete saw Sykes step out of the wall he had been trapped in.

"Ok, Artie, that's enough," Pete said. Sykes was smiling at him in a terrifying way.

"It's stuck," Artie whispered, dumbfounded. Claudia snatched it from Artie.

"Time for me to be awesome already?" she joked, but her face was serious. She tried to pull up the button on the pocket watch, but it wouldn't budge. "Good God man what did you do?"

"Artie, did you break the artifact?" Myka asked, looking to the watch in Claudia's hands.

"Possibly," he said sheepishly. "We have bigger fish to fry. Claudia, you toss that in the goo. Pete and Myka, you take Sykes. I'll see if there is any more damage."

"Is that the plan, Arthur?" called a chilling voice.

"MacPherson," hissed Pete.

"Of course," muttered Artie. "He died here. New plan: I get MacPherson - "

"I got Sykes," said Claudia coldly. She swung the bat in one hand, walking briskly towards him.

"Claudia!" Artie yelled, but she ignored him. Myka held him back.

"She's going to stop him better than any of us," she said. Artie sighed.

"You two, get that infuriating thing in the gooery and see if there's any more damage.  We need to do this fast.  Go!"  They ran through the doorway, Artie turning right, Pete and Myka turning left.
