Ayumi, the girl from Yuri's past

-A-Ayu-Ayumi? Yuri stuttered and looked at the brown haired girl with wide eyes and a slightly open mouth. Everyone's attention went to Yuri.
-You know her?! Yoon asked her. Yuri nodded and closed her mouth. She closed her eyes, inhaled, exhaled, then opened them again.
-She's the girl I told you about, from my past... she said.
-No way, it really is Ayumi! Arata said, like he had just noticed.
-But I thought she left the village many years ago, he then continued and squinted his eyes a little.
-Weren't you two best friends, Yuri? Kei asked. Yuri nodded.
-Or, I thought we were... She then said.

~Flashback~

-Yuri!! Let's make flower crowns out of these flowers! A seven year old Ayumi happily asked a seven year old Yuri.
-Yeah! Yuri replied, and the girls began to pick the flowers.
-Look Yuri! It's a lily! Your name means lily, doesn't it? Ayumi said excitedly while showing Yuri a lily of the valley.
-My name does mean lily, I've never thought of that... Yuri said and scooted closer to Ayumi, looking at the beautiful flower.
-Did you know that the lily of the valley, also called spider lily, represents sweetness? Ayumi asked her.
-No, I didn't know that.. Yuri answered and slightly tilted her head to the right.
-Well, it's good that you're named Yuri, because you're sweet! Ayumi then said and smiled at Yuri.

-*sniff*, Yuri sobbed while wiping away her tears that were continuing to flow down from her turquoise eyes.
-*sigh*... Yuri, you can't cry all of the time! Don't listen to the others' mean words! Ayumi said. Yuri looked up at Ayumi.
-O-okay... Uhhm... Ayumi? Yuri asked.
-What is it? Ayumi replied with a smile.
-Do you also think that I'm weird? Because I have abnormal hearing? Yuri asked quietly and avoided Ayumi's gaze.
-No! I could never think that! You were just born with an ability others don't have!! They're just jealous, She replied with a grin. Yuri wiped the rest of her tears and got up. She walked over to Ayumi and hugged her.
-Thank you for being here for me, Ayumi.... Yuri said. Ayumi hugged her back with a smile.
-You're welcome, Yuri.. I'd never betray you, she said with a slight sadistic smile, which Yuri couldn't see due to her still hugging her.

-Look at this book, Yuri! It's a legend about the Golden dragon! Ayumi said excitedly. Yuri put back the book she was looking at in the bookshelf, and walked over to Ayumi.
-The golden one? But aren't there just the Crimson, White, Blue, Green, and Yellow one?? She asked Ayumi with a confused face.
-Yes, I thought so too, but not until just a few minutes ago when I found this book about the golden one!! Ayumi answered and opened the brown leather book. She kept turning pages, until both of the girls' eyes landed on one page. There was a picture of a man in about his mid twenties, with golden-blonde hair and turquoise eyes.
-Hey, he kind of looks like you, Yuri! He has the same golden-blonde hair and turquoise eyes as you! Ayumi said and pointed at the man. Yuri didn't answer, just looked at him. How could someone look so much like herself?
-And look! He has the same symbol on his hand that you have! Ayumi said and pointed at his hand. She was right. Yuri looked at the weird symbol on her right hand that she's had since birth, and then back at the symbol on the man in the picture's hand, back to her own hand, back to the man's, and continued like that.
-You're right, Ayumi, they're exactly the same, Yuri said and stopped looking back and forth between her and the man's hands. Ayumi looked like she had suddenly gotten an idea.
-What if you're the present Golden dragon warrior?! She said and looked at Yuri. Yuri just looked shocked. How could she be someone like that?? It didn't make sense to her. But the more Yuri thought about it, the more it made sense.
The hair colour, the eye colour, the symbol, her ability, all of it adds up.
-I think you're right, Ayumi.. She said.

~Flashback over~

-I didn't know all of that happened... Iwao said.
-But wait a minute, what was with all of that Golden dragon warrior stuff? You're just a normal human, Yuri! Arata suddenly said. Everyone except the guys from Kagami froze. Yuri totally forgot that they didn't know.
She looked at me with panic written on her face, and I gave her an expression that said "I don't know what to do either!!". The three guys from Kagami looked at us, especially Yuri, with squinted eyes. They're really suspicious now...
-Bring them all! We're going to punish all of them for slacking off! The brown haired girl, Ayumi, ordered.
-B-But not all of us slacked off!! A woman in her late thirties said and had fear written on her face.
-But this is how it goes when some of you slack off, all of you get punished! And this time we'll be a littler harsher, so that you all learn your lesson, Ayumi said with a sadistic face, which made many of the captured people look terrified. Then the men from Kurohoshii started to grab the captured people, and many of them begged them to stop and tried to get out of their grip, but didn't succeed because of the lack of nutrition making them weak. The members of Kurohoshii brought out the captured people and soon the room was empty.
-This is our chance, Hak said and I nodded.
We went into the now empty room through the crack one after one. It was a little hard to get through, since the crack wasn't really big.
-I-I think I'm stuck, Kija said.
-Looks like you've gained some weight, White snake, Hak said with a strait face.
-Shut up!! I haven't gained any weight!! Kija said and was trying to punch Hak, but he was standing too far away from him.
-Just hurry up already, Yuri said on the other side of the crack and pushed Kija, trying to make him unstuck. Yoon and I grabbed Kija's hand and pulled, and just a few seconds later Kija suddenly got through, making me and Yoon fall backwards. Hak walked up to me and reached his hand out to me.
-Are you okay, Prin--, I mean, Yona? He asked me. I took his hand and he helped me up.
-Yes, I'm fine, thank you, I said and smiled. I saw that Shin-ah and Zeno had went through the crack and Jae-ha was going through it at the moment. After Jae-ha went through it, Iwao, Kei, and Yuri went through it, and lastly Arata.
-Now, let's see if we can rescue them, I said and looked at the door that Kurohoshii had taken all of their prisoners through.
-Yeah, Jae-ha said.

Sorry if the chapter was a little short, but I wanted to post something since I haven't for so long! I'm so sorry! I know I say sorry every time in every chapter in every book ;-; But this time, I couldn't work on the chapter because it's the end of the term and I've had so many tests, plus homework, so I didn't really have much time. And to add more to the list, I had a mini writers block about what to write before the flashback and I had to do some research about lilies xD And I saw that this book has gotten over 500 readers!! Thank you so much!! It wasn't long ago it was 300, so I'm really happy that that many people have taken their time to read my story ❤︎
