(A/N I love this ending so much, it's so beautiful.)
~3rd person POV~ (A/N Yes! I'm starting to write with POVs now, it's so hard to write from one perspective all of the time.)
-Hey, Yuri, get over here! Yoon shouted. Yuri turned her gaze towards the 15 year old boy standing at the entrance to the storage room.
-We're done treating everyone, including Ayumi, so get over here if you don't want that nasty wound of yours to become infected, Yoon continued. Yuri got up and walked over to him.
-Sure, mom, she said and walked past him. Yoon got an irk mark on his head.
-For the last time, I'M NOT A MOM! He angrily yelled at Yuri. He slightly stomped over to the nearest wall inside the storage room, sat down, and pointed at the floor in front of him.
-SIT DOWN, he said — or more like demanded. Yuri quickly sat down at the spot he was pointing at, not wanting to anger mom any further. Yoon pulled out some bandages, alcohol and other tools.
-Can you please remove your kimono from your shoulder? Yoon asked her.
-I just want to get this over with... Yuri mumbled and pulled down the kimono a little bit, only exposing the wound. Yuri winced as Yoon started pressing the alcohol-soaked cloth on her wound.
-Sorry, I should've said that it would hurt, Yoon said as he continued to press the cloth on the wound.
-It's fine, I can bare with it, it's not as painful as when I got the wound.. Yuri said.
After a few minutes of cleaning Yuri's wound, Yoon put bandages on and the treating was done. Yuri pulled up her kimono again and adjusted it.
-Thank you, she said as she stood up. Yoon had started putting away his medical things he'd brought out back in his bag again.
-You're welcome. It's probably going to scar though, he told her without taking his gaze off of his things. Yuri gave a quiet okay as a response. 'She's not acting like herself...' The 15 year old self-proclaimed-genius thought, as the 18 year old golden-blonde walked away. Arata walked up to her.
-That wound looks like it really hurt! Are you okay?! He asked Yuri with worry.
-Yeah, it doesn't hurt as much anymore, she said. A groan could be heard from just a few meters away. Yuri immediately turned her head in that direction. A brown haired girl with bandages around mainly her stomach sat up. She looked like she had just woken up, and looked around with confusion.
-Where am I? Ayumi asked. Yuri felt how her breathing became irregular and it felt like weight had been put on her shoulders, just like how she'd felt when she saw Ayumi for the first time today. Ayumi noticed the medical treatment she had been given while she was unconscious. She barley caught sight of some golden-blonde hair going out the door. A guy at probably the same age as herself was looking after something in the direction of the door with confusion.
-Where am I? Ayumi repeated. The guy at the same age as her turned to her and walked her way.
-You're in the storage room beside the room you and Yuri fought in, because we got your stomach wound and other smaller wounds treated, Arata explained and sat down in front of her.
-Why would you give me medical treatment? I'm still your enemy even though we lost, she asked, clearly couldn't put her finger on why. Arata rose an arm and scratched his neck.
-I'm not sure either, you'll have to ask Yuri, she was the one who carried you in here and demanded that you would get medical treatment, he said with an awkward smile. Ayumi's eyes widened.
-Why would she do that?! I was so bad to her! I betrayed her! I was never truly her friend! So why...?! She raised her voice but it got weaker at the end.
-I don't know, my friends and I only picked on Yuri a bit back then, nothing more, Arata said. Ayumi squinted her eyes at him, every second that passed made Arata feel more and more uncomfortable.
-Aren't you the guy who cracked an egg on her head once? She asked. Arata got a guilty expression.
-Maybe...? He said and awkwardly turned his gaze elsewhere, like this was the most beautiful floor he'd ever seen. Ayumi chuckled.
-I remember Yuri coming to my house with egg in her hair, saying a boy cracked it on her head and she wanted help washing it out, Ayumi said and slightly smiled at the memory. Arata noticed.
-Hey, are you sure you didn't actually enjoy the times you had with Yuri? Arata asked with squinted eyes. Ayumi looked surprised.
-W-why would I? I was just using her, she said and converted her gaze. Arata decided to change the subject.
-By the way, why aren't you attacking me or someone else? He asked. Ayumi turned her gaze back to the dark brunette.
-Well, I'm seriously injured and the wound could reopen itself if I move too much, I have no weapons, it's a lot against one, and what's the point if I lost to just one of you? she listed.
-I guess you're right. And you seemed quite yandere and.. crazy, before, how did you go from that to us sitting here talking about the good ol' days? Arata asked Ayumi. She shrugged.
-I don't know, I guess it just kind of happened? And maybe because I don't particularly have anything against you, Ayumi shrugged.
Arata stood up.
-I have to help Yoon and the other guys with all of the injured people here, so I'll talk to you later, he said and walked away from her. Ayumi laid back down on her back and looked up at the poorly constructed ceiling, rocks could probably fall down anytime. She then heard a quick scream. Sitting back up again, she looked over at the source of the sound. Arata was trying to clean a middle aged man's wound with an alcohol-soaked cloth, but he thought it hurt and didn't want it to be cleaned anymore, so he was now arguing with Arata.
Ayumi's eyes wandered across the room; all injured people and a few from Yona's gang helping them.
-Tch, they deserved it anyways, for being so slow and un-obedient, she muttered to herself. She also noticed that there wasn't anyone laying close to her; so they were still being wary of her even though she's injured. She lied down on her back again and continued to look at the ceiling.
-I don't get why they're so angry about it. Slaves are slaves and nothing more, that's what dad always used to say... Why was Yuri so furious at me? She muttered her thoughts out loud, though no one was close enough to hear. She remembered the fury in not only Yuri's eyes, but in the group's eyes too and especially in Yona's, her eyes looked as if a small crimson flame was burning in her violet eyes.
-Well, I guess that's expected from someone who's King Hiryuu's reincarnate... Ayumi was stopped in her thoughts of the sound of steps approaching her. She turned her head a little to the right and saw Yuri. Ayumi's eyes widened for a split second and she sat up.
-A-Ayumi...? Yuri stuttered, having her gaze set on elsewhere. Ayumi looked surprised, but didn't allow it to show and instead gave her a slight glare.
-What? She asked in a harsh tone. Yuri finally looked at the magenta-eyed female and opened her mouth to speak.
-About the thing you said before, and just now before I came... How did you know that four of us were Dragon warriors, and Yona was the Crimson dragon? The three guys from Kagami have surprisingly not figured it out yet, well, maybe Kei has caught on, but besides that, we haven't even mentioned it — so how did you know? Yuri asked.
-Well, isn't it quite obvious when the white-dressed guy's hand is not normal sized? And the other guys' hair colours make you piece things together, and Yona's hair is unusually crimson. Get it now? She replied.
'Will she buy it?'
-M-Mh.., Yuri responded.
'She bought it.'
She then turned around to leave, only to have Ayumi stop her.
-Yuri! She said, and Yuri turned around, a confused look on her face.
-Uhm.. Thank you.. for demanding.. medical treatment for me.., Ayumi shyly said with pink cheeks and looked away, not able to look at Yuri. Yuri was not in the least expecting this from the girl who was talking about starting a bloody war just barley an hour ago. Ayumi noticed her silence, colour grew brighter on her face.
-A-And I won't be saying that ever again, so you better have heard me! She said tsundere-ish. Yuri smiled.
-Yeah, she said, and walked away. Ayumi laid down on her side, pulling the cover up to her chin.
'Well, she didn't have to do it, I would be just fine...' She thought.(A/N I drew Ayumi! I tried to make it look like a screenshot from the anime, I hope it looks like it at least a little! x3)
When Yuri walked out from the storage room, Yona came up to her with a little worry on her face.
-Is she okay? Are you okay? Yona asked.
-Yeah, she's fine, I'm fine too. Thanks, Yona, Yuri answered with a slight smile, and walked over to the wall where she sat depressingly before, but this time sat down with a more bright expression.—————————————————————
Hello! Sorry for the shorter-than-usual chapter, just wanted to get something out there for you! I'm sorry that the word gaze appeared so often.
I'm struggling with an idea for a new arc, but I can assure you there will be one.
