Burning eyes

Walking through the door, we came to a long and dark hallway, only torches on the walls lighting it up. It was cold too. Up ahead you could see a door with a black star symbol on, and voices coming from inside too.
-Guys, we have to be quieter, or else they'll hear us. I hear two- no, three heartbeats from inside that room, Yuri whispered.
-I almost forgot there for a second that you were born with an extreme hearing ability, Arata whispered.
-How could you almost forget? That was the main reason you three used to tease me! Yuri whispered back with slight annoyance in her voice.
-By the way, since Arata, Iwao and Kei used to pick on Yuri, how're you four suddenly getting along so well? Kija asked.
-Don't know, it just happened, all four of them replied at the same time, which made everyone else sweatdrop.
-Anyways, let's try to get closer. We weren't really quick at going through that crack, so they have probably already started to punish the captured people, I said. The others nodded. We snuck closer to the door, the voices from inside becoming clearer and clearer the closer we got.
-Do we have enough Hibana stone for the next order? A masculine voice asked.
-We do, but the next order after that is in less than a month, and they're paying extra for it, so they've got to start working again tomorrow, a feminine voice said this time, most likely Ayumi.
-By the way, since I'm new here, I was wondering what this punishment is? A younger male voice asked. A slightly sadistic chuckle came from their female leader.
-Do you want to have a look for yourself? The slaves are currently in the room furthest down in the hall, Ayumi said.
-I-I don't think I want to look, the young male said with a little fright in his voice.
-Hmpf, then we'll continue to plan where we'll go next, Ayumi then said. I looked at everyone else, and it looked like we all had the same thought. We know where the prisoners are, and we can save them. One after one, we snuck by as quietly as we could past the door. After a good distance from the door, we started to quietly run to the room the prisoners were in.

After a few minutes of running, we came to a stop when the hallway didn't continue, and in front of us was a brown, wooden door. Screams were coming from inside the room.
-I don't know if I want to go inside... I said. Hak looked down at me.
-It's okay, whatever they're going through, we're going to save them from it, He said and smiled at me. I nodded and took out my bow and a few arrows.
-Once we open the door, we'll attack the guards from Kurohoshii immediately and take the prisoners to safety. Hak, Kija, Shin-ah, Jae-ha, Yuri, and I will attack the guards, and while they're distracted, Yoon, Zeno, Arata, Iwao, and Kei will take the prisoners to safety and then Yoon will treat any wounds they have, I said, sharing my plan.
-I'm impressed that you came up with all of that, the old you would never be able to come up with that, Hak said teasingly.
-Urusai, Hak. This is not the time, I said with a little annoyance in my voice.
-But are you sure you want to fight, Yona? It'll be dangerous, Yoon asked me with a little concern in his voice.
-I'm sure, I don't want to stand by and do nothing, I said with determination.
-Hey, why don't we get to fight? We three are pretty decent with a sword, Arata asked, referring to himself, Iwao and Kei.
-First of all, you guys don't have swords with you, and second of all, Yoon and Zeno will need some help to get that many people to safety, Yuri explained, understanding my plan.
-Okay, we'll open the door in 3... 2..., I counted down, but before I could say 1, Yuri walked up to the door and kicked it down, of course.
-HELLO!! WE'RE HERE TO TAKE THE PRISONERS TO SAFETY AND BEAT YOU GUYS UP! Yuri yelled when she walked inside the room. We all sweatdropped, and then walked in after her. The Kurohoshii guards pulled out their swords.
-Who are you?! What are you doing here?! One of them asked with fury.
-HOW RUDE, I JUST SAID WHAT WE WERE GOING TO DO! LEARN TO LISTEN TO OTHERS!! Yuri yelled with anger and an irk mark on her head.
-Tch, I don't care who you are, but we don't allow outsiders inside our hideout!! The same guard said and got into a fighting stance.
-BUT YOU JUST ASKED WHO WE WERE!!! Yuri said and looked even more annoyed. Suddenly, an arrow came flying towards me, but Kija got in the way and slashed the arrow into pieces with his dragon arm.
-Don't you dare even lay a scratch her, Kija said. Then Jae-ha kicked one of the guards in his stomach with his dragon leg, causing him to fly across the room. Then Hak and Shin-ah decided to join, and were slashing through one after one guard. The remaining guards' eyes widened.
-Wh-who are these people?! One of them said with shock in his voice. One of the guards snuck behind Yuri, and aimed an arrow at her. Before I could say anything, he shot the arrow, but Yuri caught it without even looking in his direction, and it broke in half from her squeezing it. Yuri had a slight smirk on her face.
-H-How?! You weren't even looking, how did you notice me?! The guy who had shot the arrow at her said with wide eyes. Yuri looked at him from the corner of her eyes.
-Your heartbeat gave it away, she said and her slight smirk grew a little wider.
-W-What do you mean 'my heartbeat'?! He said. Yuri then took the sword she'd borrowed from Arata out and ran towards him.
-I have no time to explain! She said. By now there was a full on fight in here. I looked to my right and saw Yoon, Zeno, Arata, Iwao and Kei carrying very injured people to a storage room, it was the prisoners. They were bleeding, and some had deep slashes in vital places.
I felt myself fill with rage.
First, they force them to work even though they're exhausted, not giving them much food, and now, they are really, maybe even vitally, wounded and they will be forced to start working tomorrow with those injuries.
I saw one of the men from Kurohoshii who had harshly grabbed one brown haired teenage girl's wrist to prevent her from escaping. He rose his sword at her, but he then noticed me.
-Hey! You girl with the red hair! He said and ran towards me with his sword in his hand. I looked at him, and he stopped running and froze up.
-H-H-Her e--... He said. I took out my bow and arrow, and aimed at him. He was still standing there, frozen, with a terrified look on his face.
-What's wrong?! One of the other guards asked him.
-H-Her eyes, t-they look like they're burning.. He answered, and dropped his sword.

-Don't be ridicul--, the other guard said, but stopped in mid sentence when he looked at me. I released the arrow from my bow, and it hit the first man directly in the heart. He started screaming because of the pain, while I took this as a chance and ran towards the girl. I grabbed her hand, and started running towards Yoon and the others.
-Here, this girl needs to get to safety too, I said, and let go of the girl's wrist. I turned around to face her.
-They will help you, so trust them, I told her and smiled. She nodded, and slowly walked forward. She then turned back to me after a few steps.
-Th-thank you for saving me.... She said, and then continued walking to Yoon and the others to get to safety. Then the second Kurohoshii guard came running towards me with a sword, to avenge his comrade. Just then, Yuri came up from behind and slashed her sword across his back. The man dropped his sword, and fell to the ground.
-I saw what you did before, Yona. I didn't know you could be so cool! Yuri said and smiled at me. I felt my cheeks get warmer. Before I could say anything, arrows came shooting in our direction. Yuri immediately deflected the arrows, and ran towards the man who had shot them.

After about 20 minutes, our group was victorious, and the Kurohoshii guards were all on the ground – defeated. During the time of the fight, Yoon and the others had managed to take the prisoners to a little storage room nearby, and had managed to begin treating everyone's wounds.
-Does anyone have any injuries that need treatment immediately? Yoon asked from inside the storage room, busy with tending the prisoner's wounds.
-I'm fine, nothing serious, Hak answered and wrapped the cloth back on the sharp part of his weapon.
-Jae-ha, you're bleeding! I said with worry as I noticed a big blood stain on his shoulder which slowly grew larger.
-Ah, it's nothing serious. An arrow just barley hit me, he said. I shook my head as a no, and went up to him, and started to push him in the direction of the storage room.
-No! You have to treat that, don't you remember that you got a similar injury in Awa? Do you want to die from blood loss? I said and continued to push him, though he didn't move much. Jae-ha sighed.
-Sure, I'll go and get it treated, he said and walked over to Yoon. His eyes widened when he saw the wound.
-YOU DIDN'T WANT TO GET THIS TREATED?! YOU WOULD DIE FROM BLOOD LOSS, YOU IDIOT! YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACT SO TOUGH ALL OF THE TIME!! Yoon yelled and dragged Jae-ha inside the storage room.
-Does anyone else have any serious injuries? I asked.
-No, I've got scratches and some bruises, but that's it, Yuri answered.
-Same here, Kija said, and Shin-ah nodded in agreement. Since everyone seemed fine, I walked into the storage room, and saw that many of the people had really pained expressions.
-ARGGHH, it hurts!! A man in his forties with black hair exclaimed, while Kei was bandaging a wound on his stomach.
-Of course it hurts, this is a deep wound! But if you don't stay still I won't be able to bandage it and the wound will open itself again! Kei told the man, and continued to bandage his stomach.
-Princess, since all of the members of Kurohoshii weren't in here, that means that the rest are somewhere else in this hideout. They could've heard all of the ruckus, and if they didn't, they're bound to come a look here soon, Hak said quietly, so that the others wouldn't hear, as he stood next to me.
-You're right, we need someone to be on look out for the rest of the members, and be able to alert everyone else if they come, I said quietly back.
-Yeah, but we won't know that they are here until, well, they're here. What should we do? Hak asked. An idea popped up in my head.
-How about we ask Shin-ah to be on look out, he can see if someone is approaching us with his long-distance-vision, that way we will be ready if they come, I said.
-Great idea, princess, Hak said and we walked over to Shin-ah, and I explained the plan.
-Okay, was the only thing he said, and he walked towards the exit door.
