"It started five years ago..."

Jiro Yangheart was a ten year old boy with messy, spiked charcoal hair. This trait ran throughout his mother's side of the family, the Yangheart Clan, which now only consisted of four individuals. His mom was Jun Yangheart, his older brother was Miki Yangheart, and his younger brother was Gou Yangheart. His mother was never married and Jiro never knew his father, he only saw his father once but did not even remember what he looked like. His older brother only met their father twice and even he does not know their father's name.

Jiro was skipping happily through the woods even though his mother told him not to. He did not care though. His child-like curiosity fueled him to explore what he did not know and who was he to not do so?

While exploring he came across a cave. This cave, like many other things, peaked his curiosity. He wandered inside and that is when he started hearing a voice, "Come closer, child," the voice was distorted, it almost sounded inhuman. "Closer to where?" Jiro asked. The voice answered, "Deeper into the cave, you'll find me there." Jiro nodded and kept on moving forward.

He wandered deeper into the cave and saw a faint light of a red color. He approached it until he could make out what it was. It was an Asian styled pot covered in red, glowing lines and a piece of rice paper attached to the lid.

"Is this you?" He asked. "Yes," answered the distorted voice, "Now open my lid and release me." But the child's curiosity caused him to ask more questions, "Why?" The voice answered, "Because we're friends." Jiro got excited for a minute, he has never had a friend other than his mother and brothers. "I'm Jiro Yangheart, what's your name?" Asked Jiro. The voice answered, "My name is Wrath," then grew impatient and demanded for Jiro to open the pot.

Jiro was a little scared by how aggressive the voice became but quickly got over it. Jiro slowly opened the pot. There was a bright, red light and when it dimmed there was a large man that became visible in the cave. He had grey skin, blood red hair, beast-like claws, both his eyes were black with red irises, he had large wings and horns. His most noticeable trait were the red, glowing tattoos that covered his entire body.

Jiro was able to stutter out a question, "A-are you Wrath?" The demonic man nodded, "Since you released me, I have a present for you." At first, Jiro was excited, he loved presents but he would not love what his future would become. Wrath turned into a pure ball of light and vanished within Jiro's body. The small, frail boy felt a surge of unreal power travel throughout his entire body. Even though he was getting stronger, it gave him agonizing pain, it felt worse than the way any human can torture someone.

Jun Yangheart was a woman who was in her thirties, she had long, charcoal spiky hair. She was cooking for her sons, Miki, who was fifteen, Jiro, who was ten, and Gou, who was five. Earlier Jiro asked if he could go out and play and Jun had given him permission as long as he did not go in the woods. It had been hours since he went out so Jun asked if Miki would look for him. Gou wanted to go too so Miki took Gou with him.

Miki and Gou went searching for their brother. It took almost a half hour to find him but they would wish they hadn't. Jiro was floating, he had a single demon wing and red, glowing tattoos going across his body. He was holding a pure black katana with glowing letters that spelled "Wrath" engraved in red on the blade.

Miki was looking at Jiro in a mix of shock and fear, he tried to hide Gou behind him, "No, you couldn't have taken my brother." Jiro turned his head to Miki, one of his eyes turned black and the iris turned red and asked, "Do you know who I am?" Then he realized that Miki looked familiar and why he did. He looked exactly like someone he had fought before. "Are you related to Kage?" Wrath asked. Miki answered, "Yeah, he's my grandfather, and he's the one who told me about you, monster!"

Jiro, who was now Wrath's new vessel began to laugh. Miki's fear turned into anger, "I'm next in line to guard your seal! But now that it's broken, I'll kill you and release my brother from your grasp!"

Miki ran at Jiro, he pulled out his broadsword from his scabbard. The two clashed their weapons. Normally Miki would be able to overpower Jiro, but because of Wrath's power enhancement, Jiro was able to easily overpower his older brother.

"Let me show you a bit of my power," said Jiro. A black light with red sparks surrounded Jiro, he held out his hand fired a beam of red light towards Miki, causing him to vanish. Jiro looked over at his younger brother and smiled. Gou was too scared to move, frozen in fear. Jiro calmly floated over and crouched next to him. He slowly drove his katana through Gou's stomach then pulled it out just as slowly, twisting it to increase the pain. Jiro stood there for a while to watch his little brother fall and bleed to death.

Jun heard some footsteps and she turned around to see if it were her children. What she saw put her into a shock of horror. It was Jiro, transformed by Wrath, carrying Gou's carcass. She was about to scream but Jiro's sword slashed through her throat before she even had the chance. Blood went every before she dropped to the ground.

Wrath went into a rest inside of Jiro after he was satisfied with his art. The tattoos, wing, and sword all disappeared. Jiro's eye turned back into its natural color but the only thing that was off was that he felt more energy than he has ever had before. He looked around and saw the two corpses. He knew what he had done, even though Wrath was the one in control. He could still see everything that was going on through his own eyes.

Jiro Yangheart cried at the loss of his family. He blamed himself for this pain that he didn't just inflict on the ones he loved most but also on his own soul. It was his fault for releasing the seal. How could he ever live with himself now? Not only this but he was sure that the authorities or a popular demon hunting group would be after him now. He had to run away and start a new life. He could no longer call himself by his own name. From that day onward, he would call himself "Yang Light."
