Yang held onto the old man's hand and the old man helped him up. "Will you let me help you?" Asked the old man but the boy shook his head, "No, I'll end up hurting you like everyone else." The man gave him a sly smile and said, "I can teach you how to defeat Wrath." Yang looked shocked that someone else knew who Wrath was. For the first time in months, which felt like forever, Yang smiled.
The old man took Yang to his own personal island. The man revealed himself as the Dragon Sage, a legendary aura user, to Yang. Although, Yang had no idea what that meant. There were three other kids who were all the same age as Yang, two girls and one boy. They were training so one of them could become the next sage.
The boy's name was Rokuro, a boy who had light blue hair and wore a white gi. There was a girl named Yui who had brown hair. And there was a girl named Wind who had hair as white as snow.
One day the trio approached Yang and asked if he would want to play after training. He looked down nervously and stuttered, "I d-don't know guys." Yui began complaining, "Come on, you never play with us!" Yang began getting more nervous, he would not know what to do if Wrath possessed him again and killed his new companions. Wind looked at him with sad eyes and began to beg, saying please for almost a whole minute.
Yang was really nervous, contemplating whether if it would be a good idea or not. Wrath had been talking to Yang more frequently over the past few weeks via any thought or dream he could. It was too overwhelming for Yang. He just shook his head to tell his peers no and walked over to the apple tree on the island.
That night inside of Yang's dream, he was looking at Wrath face-to-face. "You can't deny me forever," said Wrath. Yang yelled, "Yes I can!" Wrath smiled at the boy's defiance, he could tell that Yang was gaining a little bit of backbone through the harsh trainings of the Dragon Sage. Wrath then said, "You're just a worthless and pathetic child, you wouldn't even be able to live without me." Black flames appeared in Wrath's hand until his black katana took a solid form, he flew at Yang and slashed the sword across his chest. His blood went everywhere.
Yang woke up in a cold sweat. He saw the Dragon Sage looking down at him. Yang had not realized the worried expression on the sage's face at the time. The only thing Yang could focus on was his fear of Wrath killing his new friends.
The Dragon Sage said to him, "Young one, you are in so much grief and pain." Yang still had that fear in his eyes then he shook his head as if to say he was fine. "You're being pushed into a corner by him," stated the Dragon Sage. Yang knew this was true but just shook his head again. The Dragon Sage sighed, "What if I told you that I can make him stop." Yang looked surprised, even though he was told that the sage would help him defeat Wrath, he never expected such a thing to happen. The old man waved his hand as a sign for Yang to follow him.
The Dragon Sage walked off with Yang following close behind. They walked across a bridge and kept walking until they reached a small mountain. Yang held onto the Dragon Sage's back as he climbed up to the top. There was a pure black katana stabbed into a stone. This stone was covered in red, glowing markings that are similar to the ones that appear on the vessels of Wrath. Yang was put into a minor state of fear when he saw these markings.
Yang stuttered out a question, "Wh-what's this?" The Dragon Sage put his hand on Yang's shoulder to reassure him that everything will be alright. "Take off your shirt," requested the Dragon Sage. Yang did as he told because he trusted his teacher. The Dragon Sage held out a piece of paper, it was an exact replica of the paper that Yang took off of Wrath's pot several months ago except there was a white glow around it. He stuck it onto Yang's chest and the white glow spread to Yang's entire body.
That glow then turned red and Yang fell to scream from the intense pain he began feeling. His screams of pain could be heard in unison with Wrath's screams. Yang passed out after a few seconds of screaming. The Dragon Sage caught him and the red glow disappeared. From this day onward, Yang would no longer hear Wrath's voice in his thoughts and dreams. The black katana in the stone disappeared and the sleeping boy smiled.
The next day Yang and his peers finished training with the Dragon Sage. The trio of students walked up to Yang. "Do you want to play with us today, Yang?" Asked Wind. "Don't even bother," said Yui, "he'll never play with us." This time Yang smiled and answered, "Sure!"
Rokuro and Yui's jaws dropped in surprise while Wind jumped in joy. Yang never played with them once so it made them wonder. The Dragon Sage could not help but smile as he saw his students play and laugh together. He loved them as if they were his own children.
The Dragon Sage had been teaching them aura for the past several months. Aura was an ability from another realm. He taught them about the five aura elements: Wind, water, earth, fire, and lightning. He also unlocked it their aura for them by putting his aura inside of them. He was going to teach them how to use their own aura for battle.
The children excitedly lined up in front of their teacher. They have been learning martial arts under him but this would be the first time he taught them how to use a supernatural power using their aura. "I'll be teaching you how to channel your element," said the Dragon Sage. All four of the students were excited but Rokuro, being the most serious about his training, was the most excited.
The Dragon Sage got up and white aura flowed around him. He held out his hand where all his aura began to gather. His aura turned into a small ball of flames which he then released. The size of the flames increased before dispersing back into the white light of aura. The students found this power fearsome but also somewhat majestic.
Rokuro was the first to get up. His green aura flowed around his body but then hit the ground. His excitement went to disappointment from being unable to channel his aura. The Dragon Sage reassured him that it would just take training. Next was Yui. She charged her red aura and shot out a ball of fire. Although it was small compared to the Dragon Sage's. Wind was up next, she charged her grey aura and was able to let it flow naturally. She held out her hand and her aura flowed into the air, creating large gusts of wind.
She was a natural at using aura, hers was strong and precise. Next was Yang, his aura was purple. He charged his aura to the extent he could. The seal began hurting him as he charged his aura but he tried to ignore it. He held out his hand where his aura gathered and turned pitch black, it went from his hand into the sky as a black beam that took away the light of everything around it . "What was that?" Asked Yui. The Dragon Sage smiled because this was exactly what he expected.
"This kids," he said, "is darkness aura, it's one of the two legendary types of aura." All four students turned their heads to look at him. They were shocked that there were legendary auras and even more that Yang had one. "It's been too many years since I've seen it," said the Dragon Sage. He smiled and walked off to the apple tree after training was finished.
The students were sleeping around a campfire that night. Yang was not able to sleep though, he was too excited by his legendary aura to sleep. Wind got up and looked over Yang to ask, "Want to see something cool?" Yang nodded and they got up and left.
The two went into the woods. They stopped when they reached an egg that was too large to belong to a bird. Wind picked it up as if it were a baby. Yang was puzzled at first then realized that she had been taking care of the egg. "You want to help me take care of it?" Asked Wind. A large smile appeared on his face and he nodded.
They have been taking care of the egg together for several weeks. It did not take long for the other students and their teacher to find out where Yang and Wind were and what they were doing. One day, all five inhabitants of the island were sitting around the egg. It was supposed to hatch that day and they would finally see what it was. Yang and Wind were eyeing it and jumping every time it made even the slightest of movements. They heard a small crack and jumped to their feet. They watched it crack open as a small, baby dragon crawled out.
Yang and Wind looked at eachother in the eyes. "What will we name it?" Asked Wind. Yang sat and thought for a moment, "How about Mirgrim?" Wind thought the name was weird but let it go. The baby dragon crawled into Yang's lap and tucked its head against him. Ever since then, Mirgrim has been Yang's most trusted companion.
