Yang was sitting at a campfire with his friends, Feleen, Cro, and Berdres. They just finished their training session and were about to sleep. Tomorrow would be the day Yang would use the Hero Blade to fight Wrath and he wanted to be ready for it. He looked out into the woods and they reminded him of the first time he met Wrath.

Five years ago a younger Yang skipped happily through the woods even though his mother told him not to. He did not care though, his childish curiosity fueled him to explore and who was he to not do so. That was the day he would meet Wrath who would change his life forever.

Yang decided instead of reminiscing the past that he would sleep. He opened his eyes and it was pitch black. He attempted to observe his surroundings with his hands but nothing was there. Then something became visible and it was Wrath. "Do you think you can actually defeat me?" Asked the demon in a mocking tone. Yang stood up and looked at his counterpart and replied, "Yes, I no longer have a reason to fear you with my friends by my side!"

Wrath chuckled. He had been alive for over thousands of years and he still did not understand why humans believed their bonds would give them power. Friendship was nothing more than a joke to him.

Yang closed his eyes then reopened them to find that it was only a dream. "You ready to fight Wrath?" Asked Feleen, "because I am!" Yang shook his head and replied, "Sorry, this is something I have to do alone." Feleen was disappointed but she understood and left him alone.

Berdres flew Yang to the top of the mountain then flew back to Feleen and Cro. He observed the view one more time. He thought it was beautiful but not as beautiful as Wind. He missed her but knew that he could not let his thoughts get clouded at the time. He had a job to do.

He sat down to meditate and his aura became yellow. He opened his eyes to see that he was on that island that was half purple and half black. Wrath jumped from the black side of the island and looked at Yang in the eyes, he was holding the black katana that had the word "Wrath" engraved in aura on it.

"Are you finally ready to give me control?" The demon asked. Yang pointed the Hero Blade at him and said, "What I'm ready for is to stop you from killing anyone else." Wrath laughed at Yang then said, "How can you stop me from killing if you can't even bring yourself kill?"

Yang got into a kendo fighting stance with the Hero Blade. Wrath just stood there with his arms crossed over his chest and was using his wings to stay above ground. Yang ran forward and swung the Hero Blade but then Wrath was another meter to the right even though Yang did not see him dodge.

"He must be faster than Feleen and Z-1 combined!" Exclaimed Yang to no one in particular. Wrath was now behind the young boy and kicked him in the back, sending him flying through several trees. Yang felt his own body for broken bones but luckily for him his aura gave him naturally enhanced durability. "What an amazing force," said Yang, "to send me flying this far with only a kick. He didn't even use aura." Wrath then appeared in front of him with the black katana in hand.

He thrusted the katana at Yang who barely managed to parry it away. As he parried the blade he threw a front kick right into Wrath's chest. Yang began to think that he could win but he did not realize that his attack did nothing to the demon. Wrath grabbed Yang's leg and threw him into the air then flew up into the air and stabbed him through the stomach. "You're a thousand years too young to be challenging me," Wrath said. Yang spit out some blood then said, "You're a thousand years old to even be alive."

Wrath frowned at Yang's weak attempt to insult him. Wrath threw the boy from the sky into the dark side of the island. Yang went flying fast enough to create a small crater when he hit the ground. He used the Hero Blade to support himself up. He turned around to find that Wrath was there and a look of fear developed on the boy's face. He swung his sword at the demon in a panic but Wrath easily parried it away.
