"Its battles day!" Danny shouted.
We al smiled at him. Danny looked st me and grinned.
"Charlie sort your hair and make up out. Ye can't go on stage like that! Get yiz butt down to hair and make up," Danny said jokingly. A couple of the lads gasped at his comment. All i did was stick my to.gue out at him and walk down to hair and make up.
I knocked on the door and a cheery 'Come in' came from within. I pushed open the door and walked in.
A red haired fenale in a pink dress stood waiting for me.
"Aha! Charlie Hewer. Team Danny. You're on first," the female said.
Wait what?
"Wait... What!" I echoed my thought.
"Didn't Danny tell you?" She asked.
"He told me i was going first on Team Danny but not on the first Battle that The Voice has ever seen!" I said.
Talk about added pressure to do well.
"He probably didn't tell you to keep the pressure off till last minute," She said.
"If i am honest that would not have worked i much rather be told stuff right at the beginning rather than being told right at the last minute," I admitted.
"There is nothing i can do right now," She said.
"Right then Charlie my name is Jen and i am your hair and make up artistfor your time on The Voice. Maybe of your singing fails you can wow Danny or the other coaches with your amazing looks. I think with the right dress wecan show off that awsome figure of yours," Jen started.
She went rumaging through her wardrope to find a black silky dress that clung to my body. She turned to look at the make up to decide which to use whilst i got change.
The dress fit brilliantly and when Jen turned her smile widened.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" She asked.
Bit personal.
"No. I don't," I said.
"Well i am sure you will get plenty of interest after tonight," She said.
I laughed at this. Nobody has talked to me like this before.
"What's so funny?" Jen asked.
"It is just ... I don't normally attract the boys," I said.
"What about the boy who was woth you in your blind audition?" She asked.
My eyes widened.
"I only see him as a matw. Vice versa," I said.
"Well Danny seems pretty talen to you," Jen said.
I took a step back.
"No. Just no Jen! One: I cam't and Two: Same as before. I only see Danny as a friend and a coach," I put her straight.
She smiled.
"Okay. So now then. I was thinking let me put your hair up. Let me put it up into a french pleat and have ringlets coming down," Jen revealed her plan.
"I've never liked my hair up," I said.
"Well... Now is your chance to like it," Jen said.
She sat me down in a chair by a mirror and she got to work. Twenty minutes later and the hair was done as well as the simplistic make up.
She told me to put tights on and some boots as well as a black hat. Looked a bit like the ascot hats only much more simplistic.
If anything ... Jen has turned me into the dak horse of the show.
