Question for this chapter: Have you ever been the side chick before? Or have you dealt with one?

(I'll admit I was a side chick one 💀)

Excuse any mistakes.

Third person...

Tahny walked into the hotel room, tossing her keys on the kitchen counter.

"Baby?" She called out as she walked through the dark hotel room. She shuffled into the bedroom with heavy shopping bags to see Michael spread out on the bed. Tahny dropped the load and kicked off her shoes before she climbed in next to him.

"I thought you said two hours?" He mumbled sleepily.

"I thought so too but I got to talking to my mom and I went shopping with her afterwards." She took her shirt and shorts off to get comfortable.

"Did you have a good time?"

"Yeah I had this really good talk with my mom about everything that's been going lately. It felt good to vent out to her. My brothers came over and my grandparents were there so we all just hung out like we used to do. It was nice being around my family. I needed that."

Michael wrapped his arms around her. "That's great baby. Do you feel better?" He asked with his eyes still closed.

"Yeah I do actually." She played with his short curls taking in how soft they are. "The most important thing we talked about is you."

He smiled. "Oh shit. What you say?" Tahny moved him to his back so she could straddle his lap.

"I told my mom that you are an amaaazing person. I told her that you're a great father and how Javi likes you. I told her about how good you treat me."

He opened his eyes. "Did you tell her how you be treating me like shit?" She hit his chest. "I do not." He chuckled under his breath. "See, you're abusing me now!" T pinched his right nipple playfully. "You love it." Michael rubbed on her thighs. "I can't lie, I do."

Tahny laid on his chest. The steady rhythm to his heart beat made her relax. The silence in the room was peaceful but a wondering question in her mind would break it.

"So? Have you make a decision yet?" Michael rubbed a comforting hand on her lower back. There was a long gap in his response time and Tahny could hear it all in his rising heat beat. The trip was short but it gave Michael enough time to think. The three days that they had been there he hadn't spoke about his possible move. He had even made a pros and cons list while she was out. The list had all the reasons he should and shouldn't leave LA. There were more pros than cons but the cons weighed more heavy on his decision.

"It's a no isn't it?"

"You didn't even let me give you an answer." He said in a laugh.

"Sorry."

Michael sat up so they were  face to face. "To be honest... I don't know. My job back home is great, I just got a huge raise, I'll be farther away from my family, but most importantly there's Malaysia. There's no way to contact her, I told you she just shows up when she wants to. I don't want her to pop up at my apartment and Jassy and I are halfway across the country and didn't tell her. I'm ready to move forward with my life baby, I really am. But... But the situation with the mother of my child is just holding me back. Jasmine will be fine but her mother won't. I want to say yes so badly because there's more job opportunities here. And the traffic here isn't clogged up for hours." They both laughed a little. "Then there's you... This woman that came into my job every other day day for a year; and it took my 365 days to get enough courage to ask her if she wanted some more water. Now I've got her and I'm letting her get away from me. You're this woman who not only treats me well but embraces my child like she's her own. You're everything I'm looking for in a woman. If there was no Malaysia... I'd take Jasmine and be right here with you."
