Chapter Nine
After having an early dinner, we all finished washing up and went to bed early. Well, bed for me, but the nice floor for Viv. Despite going in at eight which was incredibly early for me, I ended up sleeping at around one in the morning because Viv could not resist teasing me and nitpicking at details about my relationship with him. Twit.

The smell of bacon and eggs wafted in from underneath the bedroom door. I sat up, my eyes still shut tight as I tilted my head into the sky to sniff the delicious scent coming from the kitchen. I scratched my head and yawned, my mouth feeling as though it would rip. I dragged myself out of bed, forgetting my ankle was still aching.
"Ah." I said as I shot the leg up quickly and started hopping around, leaning on the strong metal bed frame for support.
I pulled open the old spotty pink and white curtains, the dust flying around the room as I shook the curtains violently, struggling to get them to stay on the sides of the windows. I headed into the bathroom where a banshee stared straight back at me. I combed down my hair, the layers sticking up as though I were a hedgehog. I clipped my fringe in order to keep it out of my eyes before washing my face and rinsing my mouth out.
I got changed into some dark blue skinny jeans and a loose casual stripy blue and white long sleeved bat-wing shirt before running out to the kitchen where I promptly gave Vivienne a sharp poke to her pressure points on both sides.
"Aaarggh!" she squealed.
The bacon jumped off the white plate she was holding and landed straight in the middle of the kitchen floor. I picked it up and brushed it off before shoving the whole thing in my mouth.
"EEEWWW!" she exclaimed.
"GOOD MORNING!" I yelled with my mouth full.
She gave me a look of disgust before she continued putting breakfast onto the two plates. I gave her a full mouth grin.
"Twenty second rule!" I argued.
She rolled her eyes before moving the two plates onto the kitchen table. They were the last two plates in my house that weren't completely shattered or plastic. Derek had broken most of them whenever he came over and had breakfast, lunch or dinner with me.
I threw myself onto the kitchen table stool and started shoving chopstick fulls into my mouth before chewing violently and grinning at Vivienne just to put her off her breakfast.
"Really, I now get why you said he'd never like you!" she exclaimed.
I gave her a playful scowl before frowning.
"WHAT!? I'M PERFECTLY LADY LIKE!" I said, shoving a huge piece of bacon into my mouth before grinning widely.
She finished eating quickly and put the dishes in the sink before going to brush her teeth. I put the rest of the food in my mouth and dumped the dishes into the sink before chasing after her. I was really high today and super happy, even though there was nothing to be happy about.
I took a little glimpse at the clock as I walked into the bathroom.
"EH!? IT'S 8:50! NOOO! VIVIENNNEEEE!!!!!!!!!" I yelled as I swung my body around the door frame into the bathroom.
"What?" she snapped, her toothbrush still in her mouth.
"Please give me a lift to work." I begged, my hands together.
