A few relatively uneventful days came and went until it was the day that Kate was scheduled to come home. Dr. Baekhyun told us that her wound was healing quite quickly and that she would definitely need more rest at home. He said that it was good that I was staying at their house as it would make it easier to care for Kate if she ever needed help.
Kate turned to me with her crutches as she slowly made her way up the stairs with my hands behind her, being sure that she doesn't topple backwards, trying to get upstairs. 'I'm glad we have a strong male around the house now.' I giggled for a moment.
'Yeah, I don't know... Naeyeon's pretty manl-- strong.' I sarcastically stated. From her bedroom, I heard Naeyeon's voice echo through the walls.
'Hey! Wen Junhui, I heard that, you punk!' I stifled a laugh.
'Sorry, Naeyeon-ssi? I didn't hear that over your lack of helping the equivalent of a sister you have here.' We made it to the last step and Kate stepped up easily as I faced her, grabbing her hand and pulling her up the last step. Spinning around, a hand comes flying at me and a finger hits my forehead.
'That's what you get, punk.' As I raised my hand towards her forehead, she giggled, knowing exactly what was coming her way and she sprinted downstairs, trying to escape.
I reached the lounge room and tried hiding behind the couch but Jun quickly caught up and tackled me onto it instead. His hands moved down to my waist and quickly tickled me. Unable to control my laughter, I squirmed under his hands but it seemed impossible for me to escape. His knees sat either side of my thighs and he hovered above me with a large grin spread across the front of his jaw but it slowly disappeared as his hands slowed and moved to either side of my shoulders. I stared into his large, deep brown irises and I would be lying if I said I wasn't attracted to him at this point.
Before I met Junhui, I thought that having brown hair and brown eyes was just plain old boring. I thought it was basically what almost every other girl in Korea had and it seemed so plain. But seeing brown eyes and hair on Junhui changed my opinion of it. His brown eyes aren't just brown, but are ever changing shades of chestnut that range from colours that were almost black, to the softest, most sincere shades of maple. His hair is a beautiful shade of perfectly browned caramel mixed with sweet milk chocolate.
'Hey, you two love birds!' I snapped put of my trance to notice that Jun was staring back at me and a light blush crept to my cheeks when I realised that he hadn't heard Kate's voice. I waved my hand past his face and he blinked. His right arm collapsed and it slid underneath the small of my back as he lied down next to me on the couch and almost pushed me off. Squealing, I moved my hands to his chest, not wanting to fall, and his hand effortlessly wrapped around me, holding me on the edge of the chair. We both looked over to Kate who was now standing beside S.Coups, smiling. 'Seungcheol is here and he wanted to take us all to lunch... but you two look busy.' She grinned deviously. 'So, I think it'll just be me and him.' Kate tore her eyes away from us and up to Seungcheol who was about a head taller than her. 'Is that okay? You wouldn't mind having lunch with a boring potato?'
He smiled down at her with his eyes full of love. 'Okay, I should be the one asking that because I am the boring potato here.' His eyes showed full attention to her and she was drowned in them. 'But, I would love to take a beautiful girl such as yourself out.' She moved a strand of brown-blonde hair behind her ear and began to fidget with her fingers out of nervousness.
I glanced at Jun who glanced at me and made a motion of shoving his finger down his throat to make himself sick. I silently giggled before averting my attention back to the love-fest ahead of us. 'Hey! S.Coups!' He looked over at me slightly worriedly until I smiled back at him assuredly. 'Take my sister out of the house already! Or are you going to waste this opportunity to take her on a date?' He nodded and led Kate to the car, leaving Jun and I alone.
'Oh my God. I thought they would never leave. Ugh.' I giggled. I had a thought to get up, but instead, I snuggled into Jun's chest. It was a cold day and his body heat kept me warm, transferring between our bodies.
'Naeyeon...?'
'I know. Can we just stay like this for a little bit longer?' I looked up into the beautiful chestnut irises and he smiled slightly before pulling me closer onto the couch properly again. After not very long, the only exchanges made between us were our synced breathing patterns and the constant rise and fall of our chests.
