"Chris..." His mother was calling him, we both went into the living room. "I am going to lay her down she is getting cranky." She said.
"Aight ma," She took Addy and proceeded to the stairs before she went up she turned back and said. "That sure is a beautiful ring." Smiled and continued upstairs. I looked down at the ring and back to Chris, he was now watching TV I went and sat down next to him. He looked at me and smile that smile that I love so much revealing those dimples that made me want to kiss him all over.
"Chris I don't understand is this part of the act for your mom or what?" I said. Him just asking me straight out was like weird to me, first he punishes me for a year and then he pops the question after three months. I am so confused right now I agreed to play house for his mom but damn this is taking it too far.
"Why would you think that?" "Chris we just put closure on our issues and then I wake up with this on finger." I said holding up my hand. He sighed and turned the TV off, he turned to me grabbed my hand. "I wanted to propose when I found out you was pregnant, I wanted to be a family didn't want to bring my child in the world as a bastard I guess......I was going to do it at the dinner but then shit hit the fan." If I didn't feel like shit before I was feeling it now. We could have been engaged a year ago and I fucked it up. "I held on to that ring because I didn't want to give it to nobody else, I knew at some point we was going to sit down and discuss the events that took place. I want to give you sometime to think you don't have to take the ring off because mama wasn't lying it looks good an sexy as hell on you and I want nothing more than for you to have my last name. I just want to know Is this what you want." He kissed me softly, I moaned into his lips. Damn I love this man but something was not sitting right with me, I don't know but I just felt like this was too good to be true. I had to think and I couldn't do it here I told Chris that had to go home for some of my hygiene things. He told me to go head take his car, I promised him I will be back before dinner.

I don't know what i was running about this is what I wanted right? I arrived at my house went inside i went straight to the kitchen. I wanted a drink so bad but could not have one because I was still breast feeding. "Urgh" why did he put this thing on? I was just about to call Shelly when my door bell rung. I didnt know who that can be.....but then I haven't gotten around to telling everyone that I and Adelynn moved in with Chris. I opened the door and the person on the other side was the last person that I would think would be at my door.
"Can I come?" He said. he had his hands in his pockets and he looked like he has not slept in days. I stepped back and allowed him to come in, he went into the living room and sat down on the couch. I leaned against the frame of the entry and watched him, we stood like that for maybe a couple of minutes.
"OK so are you here for a reason?" I said. I did not want to look at his face.
"She killed him." He said.
"Killed who...what are you talking about?" I said.
"Courtney had an abortion." He said. I looked at this man hurt and scarred and I loved it.
