“Papa! Papa! I brought you something!" Called a small boy to the man sitting on his throne.

“I've told you countless times to call me Father!" The man booms, slamming his clenched fist on the armrest of the throne.

“B-but Papa, I brought you something to give to Mama. She loves flowers right?" The little boy shows a beautiful wild flower in his hand, holding it out to the man.

The man rises from the throne and approaches him. He towered over the boy before him, glaring down at his pitiful offspring with a dark presence.
“Get out of my sight, little pest." He growls, raising his hand, before striking the boy. “Keep your filthy flowers out of my Castle!"

The boy yelps in pain, collapsing on his side, sobbing and holding his head.

“Papa please! It hurts!" He cries, whimpering helplessly. The King snatches the flowers up from the boy's hand and crushes them in his fist.

“Don't ever call me that name again! Learn to respect your Superior!" He grabs the boy by the shirt collar and drags him towards the doors.

“Papa please! Don't throw me outside again!" The boy pleads, trying to break free of his father's grasp. They reach the doors shortly, and with one swing, the King hurls the boy outside. The force was so strong that the boy landed right before the stairs.

“Until you learn to respect me as your Father, you will stay there for the rest of the day!" He booms. “You are a disgrace to the Crest and to the Kingdom, James. Some mistakes can't be fixed... But they can be ignored."he slams the castle doors shut, leaving the crying boy curled up at the top of the castle steps.

“Father....." I murmured softly, my eyes fluttering open. I felt a tear run down the corner of my eye to my ear. The smell of cotton sheets touched my nose. My head rested on a pillow. It felt so warm and cozy. Where was I? In my room? No..... There was something rather......eerie about my surroundings. It felt almost like a cave.

A cold wind brushes against my skin sending a shiver down my spine. Where did this chill come from..?
Then I heard footsteps. They echoed around on cobblestone, coming closer and closer to me. The hairs on the back of my neck raised like spines. I struggled to get up but my hands were tied. I felt a bond around my ankles as well. How could I have just realized this now.

The footsteps stopped. Right in front of me. I felt the presence of their being, but it felt....familiar.... That negativity was...memorable.

“Rise and shine, your highness!" A vile voice chimes as the tip of a boot socks into my stomach. Saliva sputtered from my mouth and I coughed hoarsely. I panted heavily to catch my stolen breath. Then the voice spoke again and the figure crouched next to me.

“Someone's been a bad little prince, haven't they. Looks like it's time for a time out, wouldn't you say James?" They giggle maniacally. Fingers as cold as icicles touched my neck, moving up to the tip of my chin.

They sigh with amusement, pinching my chin with their thumb and index finger, before pulling me closer.

“Looks like someone's ready for a time out, wouldn't you say Jamesie?"
Now I knew who it was. That vile tone. Icy cold skin...

“...What....the hell do you want..!?" I fought for words, gritting my teeth.

“Oh now that's not any way to treat an old buddy, huh? Come on, little princey.. Remember my name?" He bares his sharp teeth, slithering his tongue across his canines. That scent.... It sickened me. I hated it. I despised it.

It was him....

“Valter..."
