(Previously)

His face is closer than before and I can feel my cheeks reddening. Both of our breathing is really heavy. I look up at him and when I think he's about to kiss me he doesn't. He kisses my forehead before letting go of our embrace.

"I'll see you tomorrow," he says before slipping out the window into the cool night air.

After he leaves I change into some sweatpants and brush my teeth before laying down. Gee, what a night.

Marcus' POV

-

What a day.

"Marcus?" I hear a calm voice call from outside my bedroom door.

"Yes?" I ask turning on my side to see who's at my door.

"It's Cody. You're not naked anything, are you?" he asks.

"No," I reply bluntly.

"Well I'm coming in." he states.

The door creaks open and my older brother, Cody appears in the doorway.

"You wanna go out?" he asks.

"No, I just want to sleep," I tell him.

"If you want to sleep then why did you answer me when I knocked on your door?" He questions raising his eyebrow.

"I was almost asleep then you woke me up," I mumble.

"Whatcha thinking about?" he walks over to one of the beanbag chairs and sits.

"Stuff," I answer quietly.

"Like what?" He asks.

"A girl," I frown at him.

Why does he have to be so nosy?

"Who's this girl?" he asks raising both of his eyebrows.

"You don't need to know her name," I suddenly snap at him.

"God sorry," he rubs his shoulder as if he's hurt.

"I'm sorry I'm just not in the mood to talk," I explain.

"You know what it's fine," he replies standing up and exiting the room.

I turn back to the wall.

"Marcus," Cody says.

"Yea?" I turn to him.

"What makes this girl so special?" He asks.

"She can make hell feel like home."

Savanna's POV

-

The horrifying sound of my alarm goes off at about 4 am. Now you would think a teenager like myself should be sleeping in till noon. Nope. Saturday mornings are precisely for working out. It's not like I want to do this either but I have to stay in shape for MMA.

After showering I change into a pair of comfy Nike shorts, an old t-shirt and my favorite pair of running shoes. I grab my headphones and phone off my desk before running downstairs.

I'm all ready to go when my phone starts going off like crazy. I look down at my phone screen to see an unknown number is calling. I pick up on the third ring.

"Hello?" I speak quietly.

"Hello, is this Savanna?" a lady on the other line asks.

"Yea, why?" I ask.

"Oh hi sweetie, I'd like to inform you that your mom checked herself into the Buffalo Psychiatric Center."

Well shit.
