When we got back to the house, we heard small talk coming from where I guess the living room was. Sam pointed to the opening on the wall to the left, across from where the sound was coming. He told me to get settled and that he would be right back.
I entered the room that he told me, founding that it was the kitchen. It had a nice, cozy aura, with distinctive female touches here and there. There was a counter in the middle with a plate of delicious cookies on it.
Then there was a round table with many chairs around it, as if they expected many guests. And just my luck, one of them was occupied by Paul the jerk, who was pigging out on a large sandwich and a bag of chips.
On instinct, my hand reached out and slapped Paul's head. The nerve of this guy! He doesn't even know me a whole day and he's already behaving like a sexist pig. "Ow, what was that for?" He frowned.
"That was for giving me a short shirt, just so you could check me out, you prick!" I rolled my eyes, flopping in one of the empty chairs across from him, with the kitchen table between us, so I wouldn't hit him again.
"Well, I have to say that it was one of the best choices I've ever made." He stated looking down at my legs that were resting on top of the back of the chair beside me. "My eyes are up here, ass." I told him, leaning across the table and grabbing his bag of chips.
"Look at you! You've known me no more than an hour and I already got you hot and bothered." He smirked. "And I want you to know that you owe me for that bag of chips." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"I'm a werewolf now, darling, I'm always hot and bothered. My boyfriend must be one hell of a lucky guy." I smirked back at him, making his fall from his face. "Damn, Paul, do you need some ice for that burn?" Jared laughed as he entered the kitchen.
Sam, Billy and a woman I haven't seen before were right behind him. She was beautiful; long, dark brown hair, deep brown eyes and tan skin. The only thing that damaged her perfect image were the three deep scars that ran along the right side of her face.
Not wanting to be rude by staring at them for too long, I stood up with a smile on my face. "Hey! You must be Emily!" I said sweetly, offering her my hand. She looked at it with a frown, before she pulled me into a hug, making my mouth drop in surprise.
"Close that pretty mouth of yours, sweetheart, or you're going to catch flies." Paul said patting my back, making Emily glare at him. "I'm so happy that there's finally another girl around here. I would go crazy, if I had to stay with these three for any longer."
"Oh, Emily, you know you love us." Jared mocked as he sat down at my spot, grabbing the bag of chips I was eating. "Oi! That is mine! I didn't steal it from jerk face just for nothing!" I yelled at him, making him drop it down immediately.
