☆Jordyn's POV☆
~
"Ow! Gentle." I pleaded, gripping Tom's hand as though my life depended on it. I heard a shriek and I was sure it didn't come from me.
Everyone looked at Tom who was know kneeling on the floor, clutching his hand.
"Oopsies?" I smiled sheepishly. "Ow!"
"Don't worry, miss Jordyn. Your bone is reset again. This time, try not to fall off of the bed." The nurse smiled feebly.
"I didn't fall. I was pushed by these bozos!" I frowned.
To sum everything up, the boys were playing catch with a soccer/football and when Max jumped to catch it he bumped into me while I was sitting up and proceeded to knock me off of the bed and landed on top of me.
"Sorry about that, love." Max apologized again. He kept blaming himself; probably because Nathan wouldn't stop glaring at him.
"It's fine, Max. And Nathan, relax your eyebrows or they're going to be permanently that way." I told him. Nathan's frown deepened and his eyebrows set lower above his eyes, making me almost scared of him.
Did I mention Nathan was a teensy-weensy mad that I agreed to a date with Tom?
No?
Well here's how it went:
***
"Why are you two hugging?" Siva asked as he walked into the room.
"I agreed to go an overdue date with him." I replied with a smile. I had never been on a date before.
"Aww! That's adorable." Siva smiled at us.
"What's adorable?" Max and Jay asked.
"Little Jordyn and Tom are going on a date!" Siva told them.
"Guys, shh. I don't know if I want Nathan to know yet." I told them.
"Too late." Nathan said suddenly in the doorway. He gave me a disappointed look and then walked away.
"Nathan, wait!" I called. I started to get up when Tom stopped me.
"You're not supposed to be moving, Jordyn, lay down. I'll handle him." He told me.
"No, I've gotta fix this." I replied. I was sitting up, but I wasn't getting past there. "Tom, will you please get my crutches?" I asked with a puppy-dog face, pointing to them leaning on a chair across the room. He nodded and walked over to get them.
"Hey, Max, catch," Jay said, throwing the soccer/football I got in a basket at him. The throw was a little off so Max jumped to catch it, losing his balance and falling backwards into me and the both of us went tumbling to the floor.
Then Siva went to get the doctor because my cast broke and my stitches ripped. The boys suffered a whole fifteen minute lecture from Nathan while I got my stitches re-done and then the nurse came in to reset my broken leg.
***
I still hadn't been able to talk to Nathan alone. I knew he wouldn't approve of me liking one of his band members, but to be fair, I was seventeen almost eighteen and more virgin than twelve year-olds these days. I never had a first kiss, first date, first boyfriend. I was always too afraid to get close to anybody. Nathan showed me different and I thought maybe he'd be happy for me.
"Nathan-" I began.
"Save it, Jordyn." He muttered before leaving the room.
I bit my lip.
I had never seen him so angry the three years I'd known him. How was I supposed to deal with this? I wouldn't know.
I never had friends or nice siblings, nevertheless had someone angry at me like this.
Sure dad, Karen, Jake, Jessica, and Celia got angry at me and yelled at me, but I didn't need to try to savage my relationship with them. I actually cared about Nathan. He was the only person in my family who actually cared.
"Don't worry, darlin'. He'll cool off and realize how stupid he's acting." Siva assured.
"Yeah. The fact that he's upset just shows how much he cares about you." Jay added.
"I guess you guys are right. Have you guys ever seen him so mad? I just don't know how I'm supposed to talk to him now." I sighed.
"Trust me, he's been angrier than that before. But he's not angry at you. Just upset. Disappointed maybe. I don't know, just tell him what you think feels right. I promise, he'll be over it by tomorrow."
