Junhui

I woke up on the cold hard floor with my hands tied behind my back and a dropping pain behind my eyes. My whole body hurt from the uncomfortable surface and low temperature. I groaned and tried to roll around and sit up, but two strong arms lifted me up to a sitting position anyways.

"I see you are awake".

The pretty girl was kneeing in front of me, this time she wore a light blue dress with a cute fitting hairband and over knee socks.

"You knocked me out, corded me up and left me to sleep on the hard floor!"

"Well, that's because you are a pervert. And you didn't sleep on the floor but in my closet, I can't have my mom walk in and see you. Luckily for you however, she just left and Mary is busy cleaning the kitchen and that can take hours. So this is your chance to leave. And never come back!"

"Oh. I didn't know you were serious about wanting me to leave right away. I don't really know where else to go", I looked down, feeling bad about how I acted yesterday. Well at least a bit, I was still in the aftershocks of her lovely blushed face. "I guess I will go then", I sighed and tried to stand up, only to notice that my hands were still tied together. "Can you just help me get those off?", I motioned towards the ropes.

"What do you mean you don't have anywhere else to go?" She did not move an inch, but her eyes filled with an expression I knew way to well, pity.

"Nothing, just forget it". I started pulling on the ropes, eager to flee from here. I did not want to get any more sympathy from her. "Can you please just help me get out of those", my voice was at the edge of breaking. I seriously needed to get away from here.

My sight started to get blurry and dark shadows with red slurs started to fill my vision, while faint screams blocked my ears from everything around me. Oh no, this cannot be happening right now. Breath Junhui, think of something happy.

I finally managed to rip the bounds and rushed towards the window right away. However, halfway through the window a small cough reminded me of the beautiful girl that still stood in the middle of the room looking at me confused.

"Are you ok? You look pretty pale. And what did you mean, when you said you don't have anywhere else to go?" her eyes were still full with pity, but now worry was mixed in too.

"Yeah, I am fine. Thanks for letting me stay here. Sorry that I caused you so much inconvenience", I had one of my legs already out of the window, but while talking I stepped back in and slowly moved towards her. She still looked worried, so I did the only thing I was good at – flirt my ass off. "It was really nice meeting you", I winked and for good measurements kissed her on her cheek.

One last glance over my shoulder before I left confirmed that my plan had paid off, her cute face was scrunched in anger, just like last night.

With that lovely image in mind, I ran back to the wall to climb back over. The only problem was, that there was no way to get to the other side. When I jumped over the wall the first time, I got there by climbing a tree.

Rose said that her mom was gone and the only other person who lived here was busy, so maybe I could leave through the main gate. Since I could not come up with any better idea, I sighed and started to make my way through the garden.

Minghao

After Junhui was gone, I sang on my bed. My heart was racing and I could still feel my cheek tingle at the spot, Junhuis lips hat touched me. Why was I acting like that? The boy was a total ass, all cocky and flirty.

But then I remembered his panicked face and shaking body before he had left. What did he mean when he said he had no place to go? Everyone had a place to live or at least family or friends who would let them stay with them. And why was he suddenly reacting so weirdly to it? Did something bad happen to him?

My thoughts were still running around like crazy, when my belly started to crumple. Right, I still have not had any breakfast. After waking up I only talked to my mom and send her off, before getting back to my room and letting Junhui out of the closet.

Maybe I should go and get something to eat and while I was at it I could ask Mary about a few things. After all, all I knew about the world outside she had taught me.

I tiptoed down the stairs to the kitchen. The kitchen was opened to our living room and therefore looked warm and bigger than it actually was. The sun would shine in all day long through the wide windows, giving the furniture a warm glow. Usually the air was filled with the smell of Marys delicious food and her voice singing loudly and I fear also wrongly to her favourite songs.

But right now it was dead quiet and the usually heavy smell had nearly faded.

"Mary?"

No answer.

That was odd, Mary was always in the kitchen working from morning till lunch. Every single day.

"Mary?"

I still did not get any answer.

With a funny feeling in my stomach I stepped farther into the kitchen, only to get my fears confirmed. Mary was nowhere to be found.

The only thing left in the kitchen was a plate with cold pancakes. A small note was placed next to the plate and when my eyes crossed it, I recognized Marys handwriting.

Dear Rose,

I am sorry had to leave before saying goodbye to you properly. This all came really unexpected and your mother wanted me to leave as soon as possible. I love you my little Rose and I am so proud of the person you grew up to. I will miss you a lot and I hope we will be able to see each other again. I love you a lot. Please take care of yourself.

Love,

Mary
