As soon as Rose had fallen asleep I tiptoed to my back and swing it over my shoulder. Careful, to not wake the sleeping beauty, I left the fireplace.

When I was sure that she would not be able to hear me anymore, I started running. The images of her mother and the floating stones kept running through my head. That girl meant problems and I already had enough of them.

I felt bad for leaving her behind. In a Forest in the middle of the night.

I stopped and groaned. Sure I left her close enough to the next village, to be found in the morning. And no bear or wolf would dare to come that close to a city. But still, what if she is going to wake up in the middle of the night? She will probably be scared to death. After all she trusted me and ...

My thoughts were interrupted by a faint cracking. If it would not have been the middle of the night, were most animals were asleep and the few who weren't had learned to move through the woods without making much sound, I would have not been able to hear it. But this way, every little sound traveled kilometers far. It sounded like someone, or something was coming closer. And be the heavy steps it made, it must have been quite big.

I looked around and hurried to climb up the next tree. Whatever it was, hopefully it would not be able to reach me up here.

A few minutes passed, when suddenly a small light brightened the woods around me and a tall and slim figure entered in my sight. The creature, presumably a human, was clothed in a black coat from head to toe. So it was impossible for me to make out it's face.

It had nearly reached the tree I was hiding in, when it's steps suddenly stopped. I held my breath and with a wild pouting heart, I looked down again, waiting for it to move, to speak, to do anything.

I was sure it had noticed me, when it pulled down the hood of its cape and started to speak.

"Where ever you are hiding, I will find you. I will find you and the boy you went with. And when I find you two I will show you what I do with ungrateful little brats that disobey me. I will have you looked up, this time so well and hidden, that no one will be able to find you and there will be no way for you to flee. And your little friend will suffer until he dies, infringed of your eyes", she let out a loud, crazy laugh and lightenings from her hands that ripped through the night. And when the additional light fell on her face my heart nearly stopped.

Roses mother was out to get us. And as I had predicted she was no normal woman. Damn witch.

Long after she had left I came down from the tree, with wobbling legs and a heart so heavy that it felt like it would pull me down and under the earth any minute, I made my way back to Rose. Now that I saw what her mother was capable of and what she planned on doing to her own daughter I could not leave her behind anymore. Besides I was pretty sure that even if I managed to stay away from Rose her mother would find me. If scary stories had taught me one thing, it's to always stay together.

When I reached the fireplace, I kicked out the flames, to make sure we would not be an easy goal to that crazy hag. I sat down next to Rose and watched her sleeping figure. She looked so free from any worries and happy. She did not deserve to have such a horrible mother and to be locked up all her life.

Before I trifled off to sleep a small thought shot through my dated mind. I would not let her mother get her. And with that promise replaying in my head I fell asleep.

I woke up to the uncomfortable mix of an cold back and a warm front. I snuggled closer to the warm pillow in front of me, ready to fall asleep again, when consciousness kicked in. I remembered what hat happened the last forty-eight hours and that, right now, I was sleeping on the bare ground. There were no pillows on the floor of a forest.

Then what was the warm and soft thin under me? And why was it slightly moving? I ripped my eyes wide open, to realize that I was face to face with a sleeping Junhui, or at least his chest.

I let out a loud scream and started kicking and punching him. "You pervert!"

He woke up, groaning and whining. I guess I would not be happy to wake up to someone beating me up either. I tried to aim a few more punches, but he caught my wrists and hold my arms over my head in a string grip.

I angrily looked down at him.

"Why do you have to wake me up this way? Never heard of waking someone gently? With a 'good morning' for instance".

"You pervert! You took advantage of me while I was asleep!" I glared at him.

"As far as I remember, it was you who cuddled up to me and it's you who is currently sitting on me in a very promising position", he grinned up to me.

Blood shot into my cheeks and I wound in shame. Only now had I realized in which position I had ended up while trying to punish him for coming so close to me. I sat on him, to be precise, I was enthroned on his lower abdomen.

"And trust me, if I would take advantage of you, you would not be able to sleep", he smirked at me.

"Yah!"

"Hey, don't worry, I would never do something like that. Except you want to", he wiggles his brows.

I snorted and rolled my eyes.

"However, can you please stop moving up there, other wise I can't promise you anything".
