Minghao

I had been wandering around the garden for hours without finding any way out of the mansion. My arms hurt from the heavy suitcase I was carrying and the sun was burning down on me. The adrenaline that had been pulsing through my veins after reading the letters, had calmed down. With the exhaustion came the doubts.

Would I really be able to survive in a world I had never been to? Would it be better to just confront my mom about the foreign name on my birth certificate?

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice the loud rumble that started around me. Only when the stones on the wall next to me started to crumble and fall, was I brought back to reality.

I jumped back and dodged a rather big stone. More out of reflex than anything else. What was happening? Maybe it was an earthquake?

But neither the ground nor the rest of the wall shook. Only a small part of the stonewall seemed to be affected, it was about two to three meters wide.

I stepped closer to examine it, when something or better someone suddenly tore me away.

I was pressed between the wall and something warm and soft. My instincts kicked in and I was about to kick and punch, whatever was holding me down, but before I could react, a soft voice whispered into my ear. "Calm down, its me".

My heart nearly stopped. I knew that voice. After all I had only talked to three other people so far. Still he would have been the last one I expected to meet again.

"Jun", I turned around and came face to face with my unusual guest from last night.

He was way to close for my taste. Our noses were nearly touching. His hot breath fanned over my face and tickled my nose. My eyes ghosted over his face and stopped at his eyelashes, they were long and dark and every time he blinked it looked like the wings of an butterfly.

"Hey gorgeous". He winked.

The sudden movement tore me out of my trance. Was I really just starting at Junhui? The annoying and cocky creep that just climbed into my room. Ew! What was wrong with me? It must be because of all the new changes I went through the last few hours. Yeah, that must be it. I am just stressed.

I shook my head to get my thoughts straight. Don't let him see how much he just effected you, Minghao. Who knows how unbearable he gets when assured in his flirting. So I snorted. For good measurements.

"Missed me?".

"No". I knew I should not even have bothered to react to his question. Because right after my hasty answer, the corner of his mouth lifted in an suggestive smirk.

"Are you sure about that?" His face came even closer to mine.

Damn it, why did my heart have to react so strongly to him? Right now it was hammering like crazy. And oh god! How could someone smell so amazing? I had noticed it last night as well. He was surrounded by something intoxicating, that made me want to stuff my face between his shoulder and neck just to get a better sniff of him. Worst of all, I was pretty sure it was just his sweat that fascinated me that much.

"Hey are you sniffing me?".

Shit.

I was about to shout at him, maybe kick him. Anything to wipe his smug expression off.

But a loud bang made us spin around. Right, the wird wall. An especially big rock hat fallen down and tore half of the wall with it. By now most of the two meter long section had fallen to the floor and build a huge gap.

"What is that?"

"I think that, princess, is your mom".

"My ... mpf". Juns hand closed over my mouth to shut me up.

In exactly that moment the last rock had fallen on the floor and froze. It felt like everything held its breath, even the wind stilled. And then, in slow and steady steps, with her heels clicking on the stones to her feed, my mom stepped through the gap.
