While I was writing this I was listening to Hello Cold World by Paramore and I think if this book was a movie then this would be the end credit song. I just thought I'd share that with you xD
Today is the last day of school before spring break. I'm excited, today Kenny's coming over and spending the whole weekend at my house.
The last bell finally rang. I got up out of my seat and fast walked out of the classroom, ready to get the hell out of school. I packed up and found Emmitt.
"Hey." He said. I smiled and nodded in response. Alex came up and grabbed Emmitt by the arm.
"Hi guys." She said, smiling.
"Who's excited for SPRING BREAK?!" Emmitt cheered. My cheeks turned red from all the faces turning our way so I put my head down.
"Shut up." Alex said, slapping Emmitt right across the face.
"Did you see that, Ash? She abuses me!" Emmitt cried.
"But you deserve it." I said, smiling.
"Exactly. So stop whining." Alex said, defiantly.
"Come on, let's go." Emmitt said rolling his eyes. He grabbed Alex and I by our sleeves and pulled us down the hall.

It was 5:00 o'clock. Kenny should be here anytime soon. I'm getting impatient. I haven't seen him in about 3 weeks. That's basically a month. I hate that he lives so far away.
I hate that someone could get me this passionate about them.
My phone buzzed. It was a text from Kenny saying that he was here. I ran to the door and opened it, I couldn't hide the smile on my face. Kenny was coming up the sidewalk that led to the porch.
"Walk faster!" I said. He laughed and slowed down to tease me.
"Asshole." I said. Kenny pouted as he stepped up onto the porch and walked inside.
"Rude." He said. He took off his shoes and we walked down to my room. Kenny threw his bag on the floor and jumped, face down, onto my bed. I closed the door and flopped down right next to him.
"I missed you." Kenny said, climbing ontop of me.
"I missed you, too. A lot." I said. We layed there for awhile, not speaking.
Eventually Kenny climbed off of me and sat up. I sat up too.
"So, do you wanna watch a movie?" I asked. Kenny nodded.
"Can we please watch Edward Scissorhands?" Kenny begged, even tugging on my sleeve for added effect.
"Of course. Wait here." I said getting up. I went into the living room and found the DVD sitting on the table along with a couple others. I found the family laptop and brought it into the room. I set it up at the end of my bed and sat down, pulling Kenny into my lap.
"I love this movie." Kenny whispered as it started.
"I love you." I was supposed to be the only one to hear it, but Kenny heard. I know he did because he said back to me,
"I love you, too."
After our cute little cliche moment, I grabbed Kenny's hand and held it. I looked at our arms and our scars. They looked beautiful. They were a sign of hope. Our scars showed everyone we got through a rough time in life.
I hope they stay just scars forever.
