*19 months from last chapter*

A lot of things have happened in the time since we got back, Reign had a beautiful baby girl, who was named Brooklyn. And then came the christening, that was a fun day. That was the day James and I became God parents. I couldn't be more honoured to have that title. We've settled in my old town. And I mean temporarily, eventually we want to travel again. I think we've deserved some rest from that for a while.

Mason had indeed sent me the photos she promised, she was travelling around the world with her boyfriend. We had come across her once or twice, there was always a smile on her face now-a-days. It was contagious really. It had been far too long since I had saw her.

I had no clue about Slivko as of late, apparently nobody did, he was alive. We had all saw him a little while ago. He just seemed to be laying low for a while. I respect that, after all, look at everything he went through. He was just a kid when he came to the island.

San and Brooks were together, they got married not three months ago. It was quite beautiful. The last time our whole little group was together. It was a quiet ceremony, immediate family and close friends. It was cozy and stunning.

Just as it should be.

I woke up with a start. The phone was ringing. I looked to the window, it was just after dawn. I rolled my eyes. Even in freedom I can't seem to get any sleep without something. Or someone, having other ideas.

The ringing wasn't stopping so I sighed and began to get up. An arm around my waist stopped me.

"James I have to." I whined to him. I heard his soft chuckle from beside me.

"What if it's nothing?" His morning voice almost made me immediately give in.

"What if it isn't?" I counter before successfully getting up, putting my robe on and walking into the hall, not bothering to close the bedroom door and getting to the phone just in time.

"Hello?" I yawned out. I looked at our clock and saw it was 5:30 am. What. The. Hell.

"Vic?" Reign's distressed voice practically whimpered down the phone.

"What happened?" I immediately question. I heard shuffling from the bedroom and saw James was getting ready, he knew something was up.

"It's Thomas, w-we're having a bit of a disagreement. Can you come take Brooke for a few hours? I don't want her to see us like this."

"Y-yeah of course, are you okay?" I ask sympathetically.

"Oh I'm fine, don't worry about me. Brooklyn just doesn't like it when we fight, and a crying baby doesn't help the situation." Reign explains like it's nothing. Of course I knew all this, Reign and Thomas didn't have fights often, it probably confused the poor kid and that's when the crying would start. James, fully dressed, walked by me, down the stairs and to the kitchen.

"I'll be there in 10? I turn to look through the bedroom door and saw the mess James and I had left from last night. "Sorry, we'll be there in 15." I correct myself to my friend.
