"I have places to be you know?" I practically scream at the one way glass. The second we arrived home we were taken into custody, they put me in a room alone. Mason went with James and Brooks went with San. Slivko got out of it as a soldier but decided to wait for us. We were a team now. Hank, the lucky bastard, got to go and see his wife and son. From what I heard, it went extremely well. I, on the other hand, was dying from boredom.

You should've seen Mason and James when they took me in separately. They were livid. There was a lot of swearing, threats, and fighting against officers. And don't get me started on what James and Mason were like.

I huffed out a sigh and grabbed the red pen on the desk in front of me, throwing against the glass.

"Your friend did the same thing." A voice said from behind me. My head snapped around and I was greeted by two men who I assumed were supposed to look intimidating. They were just tall guys in suits to me.

"Good for them. Now, why am I here?" I cut to the chase quickly. They did not answer me, instead they sat at the small table and pulled out a file, emptying the contents onto the surface and spreading out each sheet of paper.

"Now, miss Godwin. What do these pictures mean to you?"

I cautiously walk over to the table, not sitting down, but leaning over to look. It was a satellite image of the island. I scanned over it quickly.

"It's a satellite image." I shrugged.

"And the others?"

I sighed and looked over the rest of the pictures, it was an animal. A lizard like animal. It was huge, much bigger than Kong. I was 100% sure of that.

"I've never seen anything like this before." I state. Looking them in the eyes.

"But what did you see on that island? There must have been something unusual. And if you can't tell what you saw, try telling us how to get there."

I gave a dry, humourless laugh. "Y'know, that's actually really funny. You thinking that I, after spending nearly four years of my life stuck on a deserted island, am in any right state of mind to answer to what I saw, or even remember how I got there. Why do you want to get there anyway? Trying to get ahead of Russia? China? Germany? It's pointless. Nothing on that island could help you as insurance for the war. I'm sure my friends have told you the same thing. It's not worth it." I shut them down. They looked and each other and nodded.

"I don't think you understand the severity of this Miss Godwin." I rolled my eyes at them. They pulled out a projector and made it face the back wall. As the horrific images flashed across I knew one thing. This was bad. And I don't want involved.

After being let go I quickly walked out in search of my group. I must've been the last one let go.

My suspicions were correct as I saw the group looking anxious while waiting around the main entrance. Mason saw me first and hit Conrad's shoulder before pointing at me. He looked at me and sighed in relief before quickly walking towards me and hugging me tightly. Anyone would think we haven't seen each other in years when in fact, it's only been and hour or two. We pulled away from each other and he looked at me.
