Fixing my dress, I patted down my hair and pulled a smile as I walked into the cocktail bar.
I had never been on a bar crawl before, but if this place didn't work out, then I guess I was going to move on until I found what I was looking for.
My eyes raked over the highly expensive bar area, where people wore suits and women wore dresses with make up donning their faces to catch someone attention for the evening. Then there was me, little plain Jane, dolled up and trying to convince the world she is more than what she actually is.
There was were even waiters...
I should just go. I mean this is going to be way too expensi-
Turning, I bumped into a pressed and fitted suit.
"Oh." We both spoke before looking at each other smiling.
His tanned skin and black hair worked well, the slight stubble across his jaw was shaven until it was almost nonexistent but it was there if you took notice.
"H-hi?" He smiled nervously. His brown eyes sparkling under the stupidly expensive lights.
Yes everything was expensive and I intended to keep reminding myself so that I wouldn't blow all my savings in here for a good time. I mean, who even comes here?! It's Vegas dang it!
"Hey."
"I- sorry I wasn't watching where I was going. Business." He replied slipping his phone away.
"No harm done. Have a good evening." I smiled side stepping to slip past when he matched my step.
"Hey you're not going are you?" He asked looking around.
"I am. Sor-"
"Stay. Let me buy you a drink. I have a proposition for you."
My face fell and anger began to build "I am not a prostitute!" I seethed.
This time the guy looked at me in pure shock. "I- that's not what I meant! Please," he gestured to the bar stools.
In this dress? Boy you got no idea how hard that's gonna be.
"I'm not a prostitute." I reiterated before walking over to the bar with him.
"So what's your name?" He asked pulling out a card.
"Luna."
He paused looking at my face, even tilting his head slightly "Luna? I can see that. Beautiful name for a beautiful face."
I smiled slightly "Is this your way to apologise for the mix up then?"
"Yes.." he whispered desperately making me smile properly at his squirming.
"You're forgiven."
I was surprised to see how relieved he looked. "What would you like?" He asked.
"Your name. Then a drink."
"Alec. My name is Alec."
I tilted my head slightly looking back at him "Meh, I don't know if you are a Alec, Alexander? Definitely."
