Hi Dale! I know it's late, but, can we meet? At the park near your subdivision? I found out that there will be a meteor shower tonight, can you join me? It's okay if you don't want though.

I replied.
Within seconds, I received his reply.

Ah... Si Tanner pala. Bago ako magreply, sinave ko muna yung number niya.

Oh. Hi! I'm sorry. I was busy kasi kanina kaya di ko naisave. And, sure! I'll wait for you in the playground.
Okay lang naman na sumama ako sa kanya. Di pa naman kasi ako antok and a meteor shower? Bihira lang yun mangyari. And I'm already single. So, wala namang magagalit or magseselos. Di ba? That's one of the advantages pag single ka. You are free to do anything because you are not tied to one person.
Nagpalit ako ng damit. White off shoulder, maong shorts at sneakers. Bakit ba? Eto yung gusto ko eh. Wala kayong magagwa. Tyaka, sigurado akong maraming tao sa park ngayon, kasi, may meteor shower nga. Haha. So, kailangan kong magpalit talaga kasi nakakahiya kayang magpajama sa harap ng madaming tao. Tapos, nagbun lang ako ng buhok and applied night make up. (Yung light lang)
I looked at myself in the mirror. Oh my gosh. Ako ba to? Haha. Char lang.
I grabbed my small sling bag na naglalaman ng phone and wallet ko.
Sinabihan ko muna si Yaya Ana (isa sa mga katulong sa bahay) na aalis lang ako ng saglit.
Nagsimula na akong maglakad papuntang park. Malapit lang naman kasi. Mga six houses away from our house.
Pagdating ko dun, it was not as I expected.
Walang katao tao! Shems. Baka ibang park. Kaya itexted Tanner.

Tanner! Asan ka na? Tama ba 'tong park na napuntahan ko? Sa subdivision talaga ba namin?
Hindi aabot ng isang minuto ng makareply siya.

Nakarating ako sa playground. Walang tao pero may naririnig akong naguusap. Sinundan ko yun.
The place was familiar.
