Elly
My friend Raph was teasing me when Jane came. "Your ex is looking for you." He laughed.
I wiped my face with my hand. People were looking at me, like they truly knew me. Well, they didn't.
"Past is past, bro. She's not even my ex." I said. Loud enough for others to hear. I wasn't bitter to her, I was just clearing things out. She couldn't hear it because the door is closed and the teacher was out.
"But know what, I should hate her because of what she did. Well, you loved her then..." He hesitated.
Other people here only knew we had mutual understandings then it ended. I wanted to tell them why. She traded me for someone. I didn't because there was nothing else I could do. She made her decision. She left me. Of course I didn't blame it all to her. She had been special to me. I had loved her. I also made my wrong choices. Maybe we weren't for each other.
When the teacher came in and the class cooled down like nothing happened, I turned my head and saw the girl who owned my heart now. When I did, she was simply looking at her notes, paying attention to the lesson. What did I expect? For her to feel jealous like what I had always felt when she was with someone else? Whenever she laughed and smiled because of someone who wasn't me? Giving her that ticket might be the bravest thing I had ever done. I hoped she would come. I always wanted to sing for her. That would be my chance. I hope fate wouldn't find a way to fight us apart.
