Elly

"You are in love with her?!" Raph said, when I told him at lunch.

"Yes. What's wrong with that? Don't tell me you have feelings to her too." I said.

"No, man. So that explains it! Her aura today seems to be different. I found it amusing. That explains it."

I punched him on the upper arm. "Now, you can read aura? You have a future in a circus."

He laughed. "They don't work at circus. They were actually in a fortune-telling shop, places like that."

I sighed. "The thing is that I made a mistake. I asked her how to ask someone for a dance."

"You're pretty dumb, glad you know it." But he kept looking serious. "What are you going to do now?"

"That's why I told you about it. I wanted to seek help."

"Ohhh. You visited the right place." He winked at me.

"What should I do?"

"Just..." He collected his thoughts. "Just dial 422-7—"

I sighed. "I am being serious, Raph. Have you ever been in love?"

"Several times." He enumerated the times he tried to court someone. And how many times he was busted. He was good-looking and fair enough. But in the end, he said,

"Nah, I don't believe in those things. Maybe if someone will be for me, it will just come around. Did she know it was her you're talking about?"

"No."

"If that's the case, you can slip through it. Tell her she wasn't here in our school. Out of town, out of country."

I shook my head. I needed to tell her.
