Chapter 12

"Baby, please?" Ashley begged.

He pushed her and she stumbled. He moved a couple steps back. "I said no. I'm done with my player reputation."

"What?!"

"I don't wanna do any girl anymore."

"Is this because of that slut?"

"She's not a slut. You are. Get out!" She ran upstairs. He followed. "Ashley!" I crept up the stairs and shot into the bathroom. No one saw.

"She'll never know though!" Ashley protested.

"I'll tell her."

"Why?!"

"Because you tell the truth when you care and love someone!" He spat back. I heard clothes ruffle and footsteps. I heard a groan. Tears came running down my face. I covered my mouth from sobbing. She stormed out of his bedroom, made her way down stairs and I heard the front door slam.

"Kyle?" I asked softly coming going into his bedroom.

"Wha- why are you crying?" He asked in a soft voice.

"I-I-" He walked over to me.

"You don't need to explain." He took his thumb and brushed away a tear. "Its okay. She's gone." I sobbed harder. "Please stop crying." He looked at me and his eyes softened.

"I-I-" I tried to stop but the words he said about caring and loving me kept coming back into my mind. He put his arms around me.

"Shh, Shh, Shh, everything's okay. Can you tell me why you're crying?"

"I heard everything." I managed to say.

"What?"

"I heard everything."

"What did you hear?"

"That you love and care about me." I said softly.

"Oh. Uh," I looked at him and his cheeks turned a faint pink. I laughed.

"Is the Kyle Smith blushing?"

"Uh, what? No." I laughed and he smiled. He lifted my chin and kissed me softly. "Let's you get home."

"Sounds good." I walked over to his window and climbed into mine. "Goodnight." I called back.

"Goodnight, pumpkin."
