Chapter 29

Hailee's Pov

I was sitting on my bed, reading Sports Illustrated, wondering why I had nothing to do on a Saturday.

"Hey!" I looked up to see Kyle through my window.

"Hey."

"Whatcha doing today?"

"Nothing. I have nothing planned. Why?"

"Wanna go to the beach?"

"Sure."

"Be ready in ten." He left the window.

Sighing, I got up and put on my Aztec bikini. I put an over shirt on with shorts and and slipped on my zebra print flip flops. I made my way outside grabbing my wallet and keys.

Walking put the front door, I peered over to Kyle's house. Ashley was there with Dylan, Hayden, and probably Matt. Ashley walked out the door with her friends. Great.

"Why are you here?"

"Kyle invited me."

"Of course." She mumbled.

Kyle stepped outside and gave me a smile. "Ready?"

"Yeah."

"Hop in, guys!" We all filed into the mini van. Kyle in the drivers seat, Ashley in the passenger. Her two minions sat behind them and in the back was Dylan and Matt while me and Hayden got the way back. "Lets go!"

When we got there, we all filed out. Ashley and her minions immediately got out, grabbed their blankets, tore off their clothes and put on suntan lotion. They planned to sunbathe? I mentally scoffed.

"Swimming?" Suggested Matt. The boys nodded and I agreed. We all took off our extra clothes and was ready to get in the water.

"Last one in is a rotten egg!" Screamed Hayden. Such a child. But we all ran!

Kyle made it first, followed by Hayden, Matt, me, then Dylan.

Hayden grabbed the top of Dylan's head and dunked him under.

"Hey!" Dylan shouted and we all laughed. I turned my back and swam out a little. I dived under and admired all the fish. I came back up.

"Hailee!" Kyle screamed.

"Yeah?"

"Want food?"

"Yes!"

"Come on!"

Food sounded amazing. I had no idea how long we were out here. I began to swim back to shore but something grabbed my ankle.

I was forced under the water and I was held there. I could hear the faint sounds of Kyle screaming my name. I pushed myself up for air.

"Hailee!? Thank goodness!" Kyle swam over to me but as he went to reach for me, I was pulled back down but I was getting pulled to the ocean floor. I kicked but it did nothing. I was pulled deeper and deeper until I got released. I pushed up but got pulled down again as I struggled for air. I looked down and saw the face of my killer. But I didn't see anything. Just a hand that was latched onto my ankle. I pushed up once more but as I did, the hand pulled me back and I hit the ocean floor hard, right after seeing my dad's face.

That's when I shot up in a bed, in a pool of sweat.

"Hailee?" I looked over at Jason. "Hailee! You're awake!" I was attached to a heart monitor thing and it was beeping faster and faster. My breathing raced. "Calm down, everything's okay. DOCTOR! Calm down. NURSE! DOCTOR! ANYONE?!" Jason walked over to the door and screamed down the hall. "Her pulse is rising and she woke up."

"What?!" A nurse said.

"Hurry!"

"K-K-Kyle. Where-wheres K-Kyle?" I asked.

"At the police station, don't worry."

"Where-where's D-Dad?" His face went ghost white.

"At the police station as well."

"What happened?" My pulse was furiously beating now. A nurse came by my side.

"Calm down, Ms Jones. Everything's fine. Can you take some deep breaths for me and let them out?" I did what she told me to do and my pulse began to decrease. "Good. Stay and relax. I'll be back with something to ease the pain from your head." She walked away.

"Jason, what's going on?" His phone rang. His index finger came up and he answered.

"Hello......What?.......Why do you always do this?..........Sure............How much?........You're lucky I like you!........Whatever." He hung up.

"What was that about?"

"Nothing, I'll be right back. I love you." He came over and lightly kissed my left temple.

"I love you too." He walked out of the room. And then there was a lonely girl who was attached to some machines and was confused on her dream.

A/N: So the first part is kinda confusing but when you get past it its not to confusing is it?
