The first thing my eyes saw when I woke up was Luke. Am I dreaming again or am I hallucinating? His face looked like he was rather upset, and he reach for a drenched towel beside him that was in a bowl of water. He placed it on my forehead, and I could feel the cool sensation of the cold water against my forehead. I let out a small sigh which caused him to stand up looking shocked.
"April, you're awake...How are you feeling?" Jason's voice said as I blinked a few times realizing I was hallucinating again.
"Fine...now let me go." I growled.
"We can't let you go yet, sweetheart. You fell from a two-story window, and you landed on your head. You need time to recover." A guy said from somewhere outside of my line of sight.
"Who the hell are you to tell me what I can and can't do? I am fine." I growled as I sat up.
A guy with dark brown hair and green eyes was sitting on a white dresser near a dark brown door. The walls were a creamy peach color, and the floor was a light tan wood paneled floor. It would have looked cozy if it wasn't for the white sheets on the bed and the fact the room lacked a window. It made it feel more like a cell than a room without that window.
"I suggest you lay back down, Sweetheart." The guy said as he reached towards his back with a threatening glare.
"Damien, don't. She's not a threat." Jason said trying to reason with the other guy.
"She is. She doesn't smell like us completely. For all we know, she could be working with the witches to hunt us down and force us to be their experiments again." The guy growled.
"I didn't know about witches until today!" I growled as I tried to stand.
"Shut up! No one is asking you!" Damien shouted as he aimed a gun at me.
I stared at him with fear shooting through my body. He was holding a gun at me and if I moved he would shoot me. What was I supposed to do? I'm stuck between him shooting me for the sake of it and him shooting me if I move.
Just as I began to give up hope of not getting shot, Jason tackled Damien off the dresser and I stared at them in shock. Jason looked extremely angry. He was swinging at Damien with his fists while he had Damien pinned under him. Damien was trying to reach for the gun that was just out of his reach. He was using one arm to stop Jason from hitting him while he used the other to try to grab the gun.
I leaped off the bed and tumbled towards the gun. When I stopped tumbling across the ground, I kicked the gun away before trying to grab Jason's arm. Jason's elbow slammed into my stomach, and I fell to the ground holding my stomach while Damien tried to shove Jason off.
"Stop it! What's with you two and fighting!" A girl screamed at them as the door was slammed open.
Standing in front of them was a girl with blonde hair and misty blue eyes. Her eyes stared forward while she bent down and grabbed Jason's hair and pulled. Jason grimaced in pain and batted away the girl's hand as Damien chuckled. The girl's bare left foot hit Damien's side as she crossed her arms and stared ahead. She wasn't wearing much. Just a set of pajamas and her blonde hair was braided along the side of her face.
"Are you two done? You're giving this new girl a bad impression of our species." The girl said sternly.
"S-Sorry Samantha..." Jason and Damien muttered.
"I'm not new to the species. I've been a member of the species for four years now...although I can't remember the last three years..." I said as I sat up still holding my stomach.
Jason can really fight...
"Oh. What group are you from? Are you from the highest Group, Alpha or the newest group, Tiger?" Samantha asked as she stared right at me with her unmoving eyes.
