"H-How are you alive? I saw Rick and Peter suck the life out of you!" I screamed after the initial shock wore off.

He wasn't wearing his glasses. He always wore his glasses, and he always had a beard, but now he didn't have a beard. Where was the guy I used to call father before I learned I wasn't his daughter? Why was he so different now and how come I never saw him before?

"They didn't take my life. They gave me a new life to live with my wife for eternity." James growled.

"I-If you're alive, are all of my friends alive? A-Are they vampires now?" I asked as the thought of facing Luke as a vampire tore my heart out.

"Your friends? Cass and Julia were killed by you and Kayla got what she deserved. You though...I haven't thought of a plan to get rid of you yet. Michael will delay me if he learns of such things..." James grumbled.

"Can you at least tell me why and how you're alive?" I begged.

"I'm alive as a vampire because when I was turned, Martha found me and taught me how to control my new hunger. She showed me where our real daughter, Mabel, was and I couldn't believe how much she looked like you. I did everything I could to stop her from becoming even more like you, but nothing worked. Then two years ago, I ran across Kelly who was on the run from you and told me of how you and your group had a new home, so I went there. I saw this little girl laying down to go to sleep and killed her. I hung her up on the wall like a puppet and watched from the shadows as you and your kind reacted. I was amused by your reaction and your friends' reactions to your reaction. When they finally fell asleep, I took you from them. You were out cold the whole time while I hung you up by chains. I couldn't harm you like I wanted to. Your friends showed up too quickly and retrieved you, but not before I could bite you. I was disappointed when you never died during the arena games. Those were fun, but then you got away and found more of your kind. Now I couldn't let your kind grow and multiply so fast, so when you were with Scott and Riley, I blew up the place you would have called home. Oh how much I loved to watch all forty-two die, too bad a few got away. They led me to you and your friends. I let Martha kill Kayla and Rick deal with Jason while I killed Scott and Riley. It was fun for my new body to experience such a dangerous situation and I must thank you for the most elaborate chess match ever, but unfortunately, the queen has been trapped. Thus, concluding the most exotic game of chess I've ever played with you, April. Though this is checkmate." James told me as he laughed.

"T-This was just some sick elaborate game of chess to you? Are you kidding me? You lead me to believe you were dead and then began to mess with me. You killed Lilly, Caleb, Scott, and Riley...I hate you!" I screamed as I tried to move my wrist.

"Too bad. I hated you first. Ever since Sarah brought you to us only to die only a few seconds later. You leave death in your wake April. You will always be reminded by the terrible things you have done. Just like you'll never forget you turned a werewolf into a Tiger-human and poisoned him for the rest of his short life. He'll probably make it through this year and then die, all because of you." James chuckled.

"No... Not Robert. Not Zack's kid! NO!" I screamed as the realization hit me.

They never wanted me for turning him into a Tiger-human. They wanted my orange blood only to cause Robert pain and misery. They wanted me to feel remorse and guilt. They were cruel and they just loved causing me to suffer for the choices I was forced to make by them. I had chosen to come here and rescue my kind, Robert, and Zackery, but all I did was deliver my blood for them to use against me and harm Robert.

I thrashed and fought to get free as James glared at me. Martha and Kelly were busy getting Robert back onto the metal bed. My blood kept being pulled from my body and put into Robert. My vision was gaining black spots as I fought against the emptiness that threatened to control my mind. I could feel a roar building in my chest and I let it out. I screamed as the last of my kind yelled for me. James glared at me before grabbing a needle and injecting it into my wrist where the blood from his bite was already running down. Within a few minutes the darkness and the abyss took over and I fell to the abyss of darkness.
