"So do you want to explain why Luke is asleep in your bed, or should I wake him up and ask?" Michael asks as soon as I sneak into the house.
"He slept there last time you had a girl over. I guess he was hanging out and fell asleep again." I try to play it off.
"No, there is something going on between you two since formal." he ignores my excuse.
"You're right, we kissed. Since then we haven't argued and now we hangout ." I sigh.
"Holy fuck. You and Luke are a thing." Michael rushes up the stairs to my room and abruptly opens the door.
"You and my sister, seriously? Neither of you told me!" Michael wakes up Luke.
"Look, I wouldn't hurt her. We aren't even a serious thing yet. I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to freak out." Luke immediately goes into defense mode.
"So when you're over who are you here for, me or her?" Michael asks.
"Things haven't really changed. I mean, when I'm over we still do normal things we did before. Now instead of fighting with Belle, we laugh or she'll hug me instead of hit me. It isn't gonna change things with us." Luke ran a hand through his hair.
"I can't make perverted jokes about your girlfriend if she's my sister." Mike groaned.
"We aren't on a perverted level yet so you can't make jokes." I shrug.
"I don't even want to think about you two like that." He gags.
"You've never liked any of the guys I brought around, you actually know Luke and you know he's harmless. I'm the dangerous one in this... thing." I am at a loss for words trying to think what we are.
"You can't hurt her and you can't hurt him. Like I'm protective of my sister and I'm protective of my best friend. So you two take care of each other other-wise I will beat you up individually." He groans before leaving Luke and I alone.
"That went better than expected." I shrug as I kick my shoes off and begin to get ready for bed.
