Belle was asleep in my bed, the moonlight keeping the room lit enough to see her beautiful face.
I lean down and kiss her jaw.
She's so little.
"Baby?" I shake her.
"Hmmm?" She groans.
"I love you so much." My arm wraps around her waist and I kiss her neck as we spoon.
"What you don't love me back?" I nudge Belle.
"I am fucking tired, Luke. I love you but if you love me, you'll let me get some sleep." She snapped.
"Hey!" I sit up.
"What? I'm exhausted." She fussed.
"How? You don't do anything." I scoffed.
Bad move, Hemmings.
Belle gets up and turns on the lights. Her eyes were bulging, it was as if hell had been unleashed.
"That is it. We are going on a break. A very much needed break. You are clingy and needed, and you're starting to get possessive and aggressive with me. I don't like it. I'm going home. I'm sleeping at my house. I'll see you around with Michael and when I say we are going to talk, we are going to talk." She was so stern, I knew I shouldn't have found it sexy when she got serious but I did.
I got up to go for her but she put her hand on my chest.
"No. I'm not about to let you walk all over me and dictate anything. It's not negotiable." She poked me and caused me to walk backwards.
"Baby, I can't do that... I can't go without you. Please, please don't." I felt the tear prick my eyes.
"I love you but we are together too much. We need some alone time. I need to wake up alone even if I don't sleep a wink without your arms around me. We just need to be separate for a bit. We are starting to become everything I fear." Belle pouts.
"I already know I'll be at your house everyday, Belle." I scoffed.
"Then maybe I won't." She rolled her eyes and walked out.
I'm always going to somehow be the jerk she hates. And she has every right to. I even hate me.
