Don't you just love it when you apply to a few places for a job and there's those long anxious moments where you're just waiting to hear back from them?

When it's been days and days without a word from said company about the job, so you're just pretty much set that you didn't get it,

Plus your parents constantly asking you "Did you apply to this place?" "Did you hear back from this place yet?"

If in the end that I don't get called in for an interview, it's not the end of the world!

Sure it would help to have a job so I can get some extra money for things I want to buy for like, *cough* Fan Expo Canada *cough* and other things I want, plus things for school, but like...

This is my first time applying for a summer job and I feel like I'm being constantly hounded about looking for a job. I've applied to 3 places in a row this week, and still waiting to hear back from them, and I've repeatedly tried applying to this one store where at first they said they weren't hiring completely and then the second time around they told me to check their website for anything in my area.

So I did. Nothing.

It also doesn't help with the fact that I'm going to Disney World in a month and a half for a family reunion. I'll be staying there for a week, so it's not all that bad, but if I do get an interview, I have to apparently let them know that I'll be away for that week and pray that it doesn't jeopardize my chances of getting that job position.

What also doesn't help is the fact that also during the summer, my dad and I normally visit family out in the Maritimes. I'm normally with them for a month, minimum.

So how can I manage getting a part time summer job with I'm still planning to go stay with family for who knows how long?

The struggle of a first time job hunter is real... But that's just me.
