Myles felt at peace  when he was driving by himself. No one to tell him what to do or how to act. He could be himself when he went on those late night drives during the cool summers in his faded red pick-up truck alone on the city roads of Seattle with nothing but the road that lied ahead of him. Myles was a preserved boy alone in the social world of jocks, nerds, and outcasts. He was a lean boy with black hair that could be noticed in a sea of white, obviously, and had dark brown eyes that you would think were carved out of obsidian. His facial features were sharp and straight as if he was made from a piece of marble. When it came to friends, Myles didn't have a specific group of people to hang out with in the cafeteria at school because he dropped out two years ago. He didn't want to learn about things in a classroom that he would never use in the real world. On top of that, he was adopted. Raised in a Christian home with Republican values and no right to an opinion of his own, Myles was by himself.

Not only was he a stain in his family for being a highscool dropout, and a Democrat, he was also gay. But of course his "family" didn't know that. He didn't think he would ever come out until one summer when he took a ride outside of the city just to get away from all of the craziness that the city held. As he was driving down by the pine trees and rivers and wild life, he noticed a vehicle pulled over to the side of the street....and a rather attractive person hitch- hiking. Myles pulled over to see a young blonde, who looked to be about nineteen, with grey blue eyes and pearly whites with a chiseled jaw and heart shaped face. He looked as if God had created this boy to be made just for him, he was stunning. "Do you need some help?", Myles asked in his manliest voice he could muster. "You're the first person who's stopped in hours! Yes thank you so much, I think there's something wrong with my engine" the blonde replied. Myles pulled over in front of the blondes old Toyota, knowing about cars from his uncle who was truly the closest thing he saw to a father figure, checked his engine to see that he had a dead battery. "When's the last time you had this thing checked out?" Myles said. The blonde looked at the ground and rocked back and forth on his heels, "Never...." he said in a quiet voice. "You do know that's extremely dangerous, right?" Stunned by the boys answer, Myles went to grab jumper cables from the back of his truck. "Thank you so much for this. You must be really good with this kind of stuff." Myles blushed at the thought of this person's compliment. "I'm Myles by the way" he stretched out his hand to introduce himself. "Cam" So that was his name, it was perfect.
