Wait and See

The next day I had ran out of my house just in time for school in the morning. This time my mom had gone crazy and almost beat me half to death only because I left my keys in my 3rd period class.

"Earth-to-Rebbeca!" I hear a familiar voice say. I shook my head letting go of the memory of what had happened this morning.

"I'm sorry, what happened?" I asked

"Do you have the video notes that we had to start on Friday?" Fred asks. His eyes locked in mine.

"Yes. Here you go." I say picking up the paper and passing it to him.

"Thanks." He smiles.

"So Fred... are you dating anyone?" Dana asks him.

"Not at the moment." He looks at me then looked away.

"Perfect!" Dana claps her hands tightly together. He sent her a weird look,

"Aren't you dating someone already?"

"Yes. Which is perfect!" she smiles once again.

"Wait what?!" he says. I broke out into fits of laughter.

"H-He thinks y-you want to cheat on T-tristen with h-him!" I felt my face go red because I couldn't catch my breath. Dana looked at him and back at me,

"OH NO THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT!" She protests.

"Then what do you mean?" he asks and by that tone of his I calmed down.

"I meant I can set you up on a blind double date with my boyfriend and I." She laughs a bit.

"Ohh! I mean why not?" he laughs a little.

"Cool! 7 p.m. I'll send you the address to who you're picking up and where you go afterwards to meet up with us." She pulls out her phone.

"Alright sounds good." He says. The bell soon rang after a few minutes of finishing up our project. Dana quickly walked out of the room and I ran after her,

"Who are you planning to set him up with?" I asked out of curiosity. 

"You obviously!" She laughs pulling out her phone once again.

"What?! DANA, I CAN'T GO OUT WITH HIM!" I yell at her.

"Why not? You're single, cute, and he's into you!" She says as we walked down the stairs reaching our last class of the day.

"No, he isn't." I sigh.

"Why do you think that? Rebbeca, you had one bad experience with a guy don't think it will turn out the same this time around." She says.

"Well.... let's see." With that said, I felt someone pull me over into the shaded walkway between the two buildings and came face to face with Austin.

"Oh hello." Was all I said.

"Who is Dana setting you up with?" He asked.

"None.of.your.business." I clenched my fist together waiting for him to tell me off.

"Tell me." He pulled me by my arms and was closer to my face. His cold breathe hitting against my face,

"No. Why do you care?" I asked coldly.

"Because I do. Now tell me Rebbeca before I-" 

"WHY THE FUCK DO YOU CARE NOW?! LET ME GO! It is my business not yours!" I interrupted him.

"I care Rebbeca. I fucking love you and that is why you can't go out with anyone!" He loosened his grip on me. I rolled my eyes,

"Shut up already! You and this shit again like always! You just won't stop messing with me, just leave me the fuck alone. I hate you." My eyes got teary but I knew I had to not show my weakness in front of him.
