Sweat trickled  down my face. My heart has changed it's beating and the spacious room suddenly became stuffy. My head was swirling in thoughts ad my eyes rested on Nike.

Nike. A whore.

If anyone told me that, i would never believe . in fact i would have punched the person in the face with no sign of remorse but this came right out of her mouth. I held my tears so strongly. I didn't want to cry. I didn't want to feel and look so disappointed.

Uncle Jide bowed his head and aunt Carol sobbed softly. My whole family was in utter shock. How are  we going to see each other eye to eye?
Nike was in her whole world crying. Damilola was also crying but her tears more subtile. Kayode kept silent.

"You couldnt tell me?" He muttered. Her red swollen face looked up to him and she tried to utter a word but Kayode continued.
" Nike I'm your best friend. Me and Dami and Olamide and all these while.." I could feel the disappointment in his voice.

"How long has this been going on?" Uncle Jide asked.

"Daddy..i."

"Young lady, I'm not going to ask this again. How long has this been going on?" His voice was more fierce and intimidating.

"Ss2.."

That's close to two years.

" so after she got beaten up by you..did you continue in this rubbish??" Uncle Jide asked.

The whole room fell silent.

" Answer me!!"

"Yes" she replied clumsily.

"Slap that child for me!" Aunty Carol said commanding one of the robbers, the younger one. He stared at her blankly. I stared at her. Did she forget that we are still at their mercy?

"Madam.."

"Guy, she say slap that pikin!" Johnny the older one commanded.

Alosco slapped her and her face shifted to the other direction.

" When we get home, you'll get it hot from me" aunt Carol managed to say. Now i was scared for her. Normally, I've always been scared since i found out she was from Lagos state.

The room fell silent. More awkward silence i was quite ungrateful for.

I looked at the robbers. They must be really enjoying this. I feel like i and my family are trapped in one of these stupid fantasy reality shows. The ones i hated.
Uncle Dare hadn't spoken since the abduction and dad has given some kind of eye signal to people around. What can you possibly say in a situation like these?

My grandfather looked tired, almost like he had enough to give up.
My grandmother on the other hand had a very hard face and trust me, it didn't suit her lovable personality.

"I wont say I'm proud of my family right now, including my daughters and grand daughters.." She said purposely looking straight and Nike then averting to aunt Lolade.
"But please, I'm too old for this tension..just too old. Your grandfather cant take this anymore. Its bad enough we are all tied up but we cant also be tied up from inside. Please, share your secrets. We are a family after all." She concluded.
I could sense eyes peering into my soul. Shola's eyes. She had this half smile on. Like she wasn't afraid of anything but what i know is, she actually is hiding something. Reverse psychology.
"Olamide..do you have anything to say?" She asked. I felt shivers and stole a quick glance at Bryan who looked uncomfortable as hell.
