I didn't want to go to the homecoming by myself, so I caught a ride with my guy friend Tate.

"I didn't know you were a football type. "

"I'm not that's why I quite color guard. "

He laughed at me. "You quit everything you try out for. What is your purpose?"

"Hey, in my defense I didn't quite reading bowl, Writer's club, and Page Turner. So screw you."

"Yeah because those are such sought out activities that people want to do.

"They are hence why they are even a club."

"Sure they are."

"Shut up you're in Reading bowl with me."

"Touché. Touché. Well, we're here. Let's go so we can get a good spot on the bleachers."

The beginning of the game was amazing as we watched the homecoming court be announced. But once Stephen steps out onto the field I couldn't control the loud scream that escapes my mouth.

"When did you become a fan of Stephen?" Tate asks suspiciously.

"Since I started to know him."

"Becoming someone's partner doesn't mean you know them," he said with irritation lacing through his voice.

"It's not like all we do is work. We talk to each other too. Therefore, I know him."

During halftime, Tate and I decided to walk to the concession stand to get us fries. On the way there, he draped his arm over my shoulder. It was a weird form of affection from him. But once we got our food and returned to the bleacher's halftime was over.

The minute we sat down Stephen scored a touchdown.

"Stephen!" I yelled to gain his attention. Only for a few seconds did his eyes meet mine before turning away. He continued to walk up to Katie and lifted her off the ground to hold her as a wide smile graced his face. Hurt stabbed at my chest as sudden confusion settled over me. Why did he ignore me?

"That's some friend you have," Tate mutter right beside me.

I rolled my eyes at his response "Whatever. I could care less anyway." But deep down jealously strike my nerves. I took one final glance at Stephen and wished I hadn't. Because by then Katie was pressing her lips against his. Immediately I turn as I couldn't bear to look at that scene.

Why does it even matters to me? It's not like your with him or anything.

Once the game ended, I hurriedly left the stadium and parted ways with Tate But just my luck that I ended up running into Katie with a sly smirk on her face. I rolled my eyes in irritation as I didn't want to hear from her.

"What did I tell you, Stephen wouldn't downgrade his taste for a girl like you. I mean have you seen yourself recently. You're not his type. Coming here to watch and support Stephen.  Do you honestly think Stephen wants a black girl like you when he has a package deal like me in his life?"

"I guess we must have two different meaning of a package deal because right where I'm standing you're not packing anything." She glared daggers as she seemed at lost for words.

I rolled my eyes. "Such a shocker that you get the guy. What a waste of originality?"

"You seem a bit jealous "

"To be jealous means I actually have to envy you, which I don't. I like who I am perfectly fine."

"You like to be an ugly ass monkey. Wow, they don't lie when they claim black people are short-sighted and couldn't see their true self. What a shame, you know. That you were born as a disgraceful race," she said with a snarl.

"Nobody has time to listen to white trash like you. I rather be a monkey than a wet dog always sniffing others people ass. How does it feel to think your so entitled when your just an ass kisser. Please just remove yourself from the premise. You're not needed."

"Sure I'll remove myself onto Stephen's dick," she stated smugly.

"Great be the dick rider you want to be. I don't have any fucks to give. Have fun being loose," I said triumphantly before walking away.

While walking away, I pulled out my phone to text Autumn about my altercation.

I hate having to confront racist ass hoes.  You got anything for me to do, so I can blow off some steam.

Yeah, you want to attend a house party with me?

Hell yes. We've never been to one before.  Pick me up at the school.   The game was shitty. Need to lighten up my mood.

How so? I heard the school won. That's not shitty at all.

Honestly, it's personal reasons. But hurry up and pick me up before I get snatch.

Then wait in the school if you're so worried.

Fine I will. Just hurry up.
