Horace you are simply amazing. I did hate you for the first few chapters of the first book, but only because you bullied Will, and I felt bad. OMG I can relate to your love of food.
Why are you the only character who doesn't change in the twelfth book? Like, seriously? The twelfth book triggered me so much, I mean, what was up with your wife, bro?!
You were amazing! Your character was consistent. Why can't everyone be like you?
The first time I read the part where you put yourself before Will, I realized you weren't such a bad guy. That boar would have killed Will without you stepping in front of him and risking your life.

Where would Will be without a best friend and surrogate brother like you?
Where would Halt be if he had never turned you into The Oakleaf Knight?
Where would Jenny be if you never asked her to dance in the first book?
Where would Cassandra be if you had never cheered her up so many years before your marriage?
Where would Alyss be if you had not told her to write to Will to tell him she loved him?
Where would Gilan be if he had never met you when you went to Celtica?
Where would King Duncan be if you had never fallen in love with his daughter?
Where would Emperor Shigeru be if you never ventured to Nihon-Ja?
But...where would you be if...?
