Angels

You woke up again and there was another tray of food ready for you. Strangely this time there was now a table in the room. You sat up and started to eat. When you finished eating there was a note under your tray.

Hello (y/n), my name is jeremiel. The questioning will start later today. Also, you might get a visit from lucifer, but he won't know you're there. That way you can see his true nature and then determine if you'd like to stay with him or choose a better, safer, route of life.

You crumple up the piece of paper. Stupid people trying to threaten you. You know it can't last forever, so why not let you enjoy it while it lasts? You grumble as you throw it at the door. You stand up and walk over to the sink. You wash your face and you hear the door creak open. When you look up at your reflection, you see you, but with bumpy purple skin and red eyes with stringy short black hair. You scream and fall then check your hands, but they look completely normal.

You hear a women chuckle. "That's what you'll look like in the. after life for keeping such a bad secret and sinful thoughts my dear." You quickly turn not expecting to hear a women's voice after only knowing those two men. She smiles at you and sits on the edge of the futon. "Hello. My name is Haniel. Has anything been explained to you?" You slowly shake your head and go over to sit down.

"Well, I am an angel. That's why we're so interested in Lucifer. You see, there was a battle an-"

"I know. They explained it to me. I know all about it all. I just want to know why I'm here." She smiled and sighed. "What did I do?"

"Child, you didn't do anything wrong. Just your heart is in the wrong place." She winks. "I know all mortal secrets. That's kind of my job." You look at her confused and she warps an arm around your shoulders. "You see, God isn't happy with Lucifer. That's why he fell from heaven. It was supposed to be a punishment. Then the battle came along and he escaped is all together."

You sit up intrigued as where this was going and what it had to do with you. "you see, Jeremiel is the angel of God's mercy. I am the angel of human secrets, and Kushiel is the angel of punishment." She sighs and looks into your eyes. "You fell in love with Lucifer. That's your secret. It's God's mercy that we protect you. Though the punishment is supposed to be death. We must end his life in order to spare yours."

You sit there and stare at her. You feel your heart drop. "Luci. You're going to kill him?" She slowly nods her head. "And what will happen to me?"

"You will return to life the way it was before you knew him." You shake your head. "No thanks. I lived a bit with out knowing him. I don't want to go through that again." She starts to chuckle again.

"No dear, we won't wipe your memories. Sadly that is your punishment. To remember the good times, and remember the sad times. You forever feel the longing for him, but he will be gone. You will grieve for him, but you will still love him. It is the price to pay for love." You stare her in the eyes feeling anger bubble inside you.

"I think you should leave ms. H angel." She nodded and stood. "Good bye child. Be good." She left the room with a creak of the door. You lay down and close your eyes to keep from crying.

Lucifer's pov~

Damn it! It just says we need to talk. No location. If I don't see them she gets hurt. No way to respond. Damn it!

I sat awake as Maou was getting ready for work. He looked over at me and gave me a small, sad grin. "It's all right Urushihara. We'll get her back. I promise." I nodded as he left.

I kept going back to the message in case I missed something. As I look over it again I hear a knock on the door. I quickly turn and look.

"Lucifer. It's jeremiel. I've come to pick you up." I run up to the door and open it. There he stood, short brown hair and all.

"Where are we going?" He chuckles and starts to walk down the stairs.  I follow, I know that's probably stupid, but I need to find (y/n).

"We are going to ask you questions, hold you hostage for a couple hours, ask the human girl some questions. The rest is up to the others. Now, if you'd be so kind, follow me to the darling (y/n). You know, she is quite beautiful."

I throw a punch but obviously my time at the computer has weakened me, cuz he caught my fist. "Now now, Luci, lets not get so feisty. After all, her life is in your hands." I pull my hand back and follow glaring at the ground.

I'm too weak. Too weak to defend myself and too weak to protect (y/n). What's wrong with me. I look up and glare at the back of his head.

When we arrive at some building he turns to me. "Lucifer, urushihara, what ever you prefer, we are here. (Y/n) is here, but before you see her, you must answer some questions for us. Honestly and truthfully." I nod and he leads the way inside.

I only have to answer a few questions. A few questions, then I'll see her, and we'll be fine. Once I'm by her side again, we'll be fine. I'll come up with a way to get us free. I might be weak, but I will not stop fighting for her until we are free.
