Chapter eleven

"Wait, THAT IS STARDUST!?" Jordan shouted in surprise as the dragon landed, Nathan and whirlpool landing moments later.

"Stardust came back'' Mark stated cheerfully. The dragon set Christina down and she stared at her dragon.

"Chris, you said he was big as a horse" Leo stated.

"That was almost two months ago Leo" Christina said quietly, stardust gently nudging her. She brought a shaking her up and put it on his head, making him purr softly.

Stardust shot back, startled, when Christina suddenly began to cry. Stardust looked to whirlpool for help, but whirlpool just shook his head and chuckled.

"Aw Christina" Bryan said, chuckling softly from where he stood.

"I-i thought you'd never come back stardust'' Christina cried. Stardust nuzzled his rider gently, earning a smile from the over joyed girl. Stardust nudged her gently and she let go, wiping her tears quickly.

"The bond" Nathan said and Christina snorted. Stardust nudged her and she smiled, her forehead touching his snout. Both closed their eyes and the other riders gasped as a bright light flashed between the two, but it quickly vanished. Christina and stardust opened their eyes and both took a small step back.

Christina felt emotions that weren't her own, the same way stardust did. Christina hugged herself and felt someone's Fear. She closed her eyes and slowly reached out into the strange connection, to which the other one in it also did. A loud gasp escaped Christina as she felt her mind mix with the other, now she could see exactly who this was.

"The bond connects not just your mind, but your hearts and memories, you and stardust somehow have a stronger bond even though not being together, so your minds are merging. It took a few more weeks for us" Nathan explained gently. "It'll sting, but you'll see and feel every memory he has, he'll also have every feeling and memory you have"

"Yeah, kinda hurts" Christina said, gritting her teeth.

"Just relax, let it happen" Nathan ordered. Christina took a deep breath and began to relax. A stab of pain made her tense, but she saw it.

Stardust had been watching her ever since he left. He'd been there the whole time, but he had to hunt and survive on his own so he wouldn't rely on her, as well as he didn't want her depending on him for good.

"Oh stardust'' she said quietly. He looked into her eyes and she felt his every emotion, but gasped when she heard a gentle male voice.

"Christina, I have missed you" stardust said and she smiled.

"I missed you a lot stardust" she said and hugged him.

"That's so cool" Jordan stated.

"I can't wait" Leo said happily.

"Looks sweet" Jade said softly.

"Aw, I gotta wait along time" Mark whined.

"We are one now, my rider"

"That we are, my dragon"
