"Christina, could you please do me a favour?" Mr. Landers called from the kitchen. Christina looked away from the TV and hummed.

"Yeah papa?" She asked.

"Could you get me a large container please?" He called.

"Sure papa, I'll get one" she called cheerfully and walked to the front door. Slipping her shoes on, she went out into the garage. She began to look through things until she found a well sized container. She was beginning to leave when a faint glow caught her eye.

She looked at an old box and her curiosity got the better of her. She set the container down and walked over, the glow getting slightly brighter. She knelt beside the box and stopped seeing a name on it. David. She took a nervous breath and opened it, the glow fading in seconds.

Sitting gently was a stone. It was a many different shades of blue, the size confused Christina though. It was two soccer balls long, but was curved and looked more like it'd be a football. It almost resembled an egg.

Christina felt a strange feeling suddenly. Something inside her was calling, dragging, pulling her towards the stone. She glanced around in confusion before looking at the strange stone. Carefully, she brought her hand over it and then gently laid her hand on its surface.

She gasped as a sudden jolt of energy coursed through her, but as it faded, she felt the stone warm up. Her heart hammered in her chest, feeling like it'd beat right out of her.

"Christina, what's taking so long?" Mrs. Landers called.

"N-nothing nana, I'm on my way" Christina called and closed the box, picking it up. She walked over and grabbed the container before running inside, quickly taking her shoes off. She set the box down and walked into the kitchen. "Sorry, here's the container"

"Thank you Christina" Mr. Landers said and she smiled.

"I'm off to bed, goodnight nana, papa" Christina said cheerfully and on her way passed, she grabbed the box and went up to her bedroom. She set the box down and opened it, picking the stone up.

She set it on her bed before grabbing a basket and putting a blanket in it, setting the stone in gently. She set the stone near her bed and yawned, changing into her PJ's before crawling into bed.

"Oops" she said and got up, turning off the light before crawling back in. She curled up and fell asleep.

What she didn't notice as she slept was a faint glow from the stone. The stone shook slightly before settling, a faint movement inside of it.

And a tiny squeak inside it.
