“I have to tell you something Jack. Please don’t hate me. Please,” I begged, my nerves bubbling inside me.
“What is it man? You can tell me anything. You didn’t sleep with my mom did you?” Jack asked with a cocky grin and a small laugh.
“No, no it’s not that,” I stammered, turning away, I felt the tears pushing against the back of my eyes, begging to get out, “Jack, I… I… I LOVE YOU OKAY?” I blurted out terrified at the reaction I was going to get from him.
“Oh, Alex. I, um, I don’t know how to put this buddy,” he said as he put his hand on my shoulder, as I broke down crying at his feet, “I’m sorry Lex. I’m straight,” he finished and helped me up as I walked away in shame.
I awoke in a cold sweat with tears streaming down my face, and out of breath.
“Lex? You okay?” Jack called from outside my bunk. He opened the shade and crawled in to sit next to me, “What’s wrong? You look like shit man,” he said with genuine concern in his eyes.
“I just had a bad dream, I’m fine now,” I said trying to get him not to ask about my dream.
“What happened in your dream?” Jack asked worriedly. Well, there goes that plan, I thought.
“I, um, it’s hard to, I, I don’t remember,” I stuttered trying my hardest not to look guilty. I couldn’t tell Jack what had happened in my dream, then it would actually happen and we wouldn’t be friends anymore. I can’t lose my best friend.
“Okay, Its okay man,” he comforted me, “It’s eight o clock. The others will be up soon,” he said.
“It’s eight? In the morning?” I questioned and Jack nodded, “Why are YOU up? You’re always, ALWAYS the last one up!” I said stressing that he, of all people was fully awake, at eight in the morning.
“Well, you kind of had a panic attack in your sleep and it woke me up. But that’s okay! Don’t feel bad or anything! I’m just glad you’re okay,” Jack said shyly.
“Oh. I’m sorry,” I apologized suddenly feeling awkward around Jack for the first time in a long time.

“UGHHHH. Time to wake up guys!” Rian called out as he turned off his alarm clock, “that means you too Jack!”
“I’m already up Ri,” Jack called, chuckling, still sitting in my bunk.
“AWW Jalex,” Rian’s constant teasing never stopped . To be honest though, I kind of liked it. It made the idea of jack and I being together less foreign and maybe possible, one day. Maybe… I got up and walked towards the bathroom.
“Dibs on the bathroom!” I shouted and ran towards the door. Halfway there jack came up behind me and lifted me up bridal style and threw mw onto one of the beanbags near our bunks, “Hey! No fair I have dibs!” I whined like the little kid I am. Jack spun around and swooped down to eye level with me, causing me to blush and gulp as I looked into his big brown eyes. He smiled mischievously, causing his eyes to wrinkle at the corners and his big goofy grin to be inches from my face.
“Poor Alex,” he teased and flipped me off as he walked backwards into the small bus bathroom.
“Hey guys,” Rian called from across the room, “I just got a text from Cassadee, Tonight Alive is off tour now and Jenna and her girlfriend and Cassadee are gonna fly down for a couple days while we are in California, that’s okay right? They’ll get a couple hotel rooms somewhere,” Rian asked.
“Hell yeah!” Zack replied.
“Yeah we’ve all been dying to meet Jenna’s girlfriend and we haven’t seen Cassadee in like ages!” Matt spoke up as Jack popped his head out of the bathroom, his hair wet and draped over his face. They both nodded as I did and Rian smiled and went into the lounge area to call Cassadee.
Author’s note: Sorry I have so many author’s notes. There’ll be fewer as the story gets more in depth. This is pretty much just a filler chapter. I’m trying to introduce more characters (Jenna, Cassadee, and Jenna’s girlfriend) Thanks for reading my weird little story! I really appreciate it. NOT EDITED (I’m lazy) Bye.
