[Jack’s P.O.V.]

It was around 10:30. We were all at the bar, Rian, Cass, Matt, Hayley, Abby, Jenna, etc. I was kind of tipsy, but nowhere near drunk. I was just hanging out near the DJ and the speakers when a very young looking girl with blindingly blue hair walked up to me and started dancing on me. She stood up right, still facing away from me and had her back pressed against my chest and she kind of whisper/screamed into my ear, loudly enough over the music.

“Hey Jack. I’m a HUGE fan, wanna get out of here?” I smirked, thinking of how much better Alex was compared to this little band slut trying to get into my pants, which, let’s be honest, is hard enough when I am single, these pants are tighter that a whore’s tank top.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea honey,” I said, my voice dripping with false civility. She turned to face me, still way too close for comfort and looked up, with saddened, almost, mad eyes.

“Can I at least have a hug?” she asked and I sighed and obliged.

As she wrapped her arms around me I felt her pull something out of my back pocket. Shit, my phone, I thought too late. She ran off, towards the bathroom. I had to push and shove people out of the way but I eventually found her in the men’s room leaning against the wall. She was typing something on my phone with a devilish grin on her face.

I was fucking pissed at this point and I stepped closer and reached for my phone. She pulled it away from my reach as she made a muffed noise that almost sounded like a… moan? What the fuck?

Next thing I know she pins me against the wall and puts my phone back in my pocket and my hands in her waist and her hands on my neck and she kisses me. I was in shock and I didn’t move quick enough and that’s when the door opened and a confused looking Alex walked in.

I saw him immediately and realized what he must be thinking. I pushed the clingy, cotton-candy-haired girl off of me and started trying to explain to Alex what was happening. I could tell he wasn’t listening though. There was a certain blankness in his eyes.

He turned and walked directly out of the club. And of course I followed him.

When I got outside the club the cool Baltimore air hit my like a semi-truck on the highway and I finally realized the realness of the act I’d just done.

By now the tears had begun to flow freely from my half lidded eyes and I looked at my surroundings. Alex was nowhere in sight. He must have run off when he noticed me coming after him. I didn’t know where to go.

Where would Alex go? I know he’s right handed so if he was in shock and didn’t know where he was going he would’ve gone right.

I followed my gut and started running towards the east side of Baltimore. I didn’t stop running until I got to Alex’s house, which I had recently been calling home, due to my fucking apartment flooding. I opened the door with my key and quickly examined the house. No one was home except Baz and Peyton. I mentally cursed myself as I made my way back to the bedroom I had just checked.

After I had changed into some sweatpants and taken my shirt off my phone began to ring. I jumped and ran as fast as I could to it, in hopes that it was Alex.

It wasn’t. it was Rian. I answered the call.

Rian: Dude. What the fuck? Everyone is saying they saw Alex stomp out of the club and you running after him. What happened? Are you okay? Is Alex okay? I’m dropping Cass off at Jenna’s and coming over. Holy shit, Jack, are you crying?

Me: Rian, just hurry over here.

I hung up and not ten minutes later Rian was barging through the unlocked front door.

“Jack, tell me what happened,” He said as he walked into the living room, where I was sitting in a ball on Alex’s brown leather couch.

“Al-lex thinks I cheat-cheated on him. I do-don’t know where h-he is,” I sobbed into one of the cushions that was kept on the couch.

“Oh my god,” Rian breathed, “I’m sure he’s fine. He’s probably at a friend’s house. He’ll come around, now tell me exactly what happened,” he soothed as I calmed down and began the story.

“…See, I didn’t do anything, I love Alex more than anything in the entire fucking world it was that stupid skank fangirl who took my phone, and look, look at what she texted him,” I said as I showed Rian the text she sent to Alex about ‘meeting in the bathroom.’ “The little psycho planned it!” I said, in hysterics again.

“Okay, it’s okay. Calm down Jack. I will find Alex tomorrow and talk to him. I’ll explain what happened. It’ll be okay. You can’t sleep alone though. Come stay at my place tonight. Cass is staying over at Jenna and Abby’s,” he offered and I nodded grabbing my phone charger and following him to his car.

When we got to Rian’s house I grabbed a pillow and a blanket from him and fell into a restless sleep on his red couch, the one I had been having a great time on earlier that day, now it was filled with sadness.
