The caring

It was almost like I could feel his eyes on me as I walk down the hallway. 

I made it to the lobby and I found Matt leaning against the wall.

My tears were released, smudging my make up.

I take a deep breath, and wipe my tears.

My balance was shaky, more than normal.

"Hey, lets go" I insist

He looks at me with large eyes.

"What happened?" He hand touched my face and his fingers caught a tear.

I was choked up, I tried to speak but nothing would come out.

"Come on were going home."

He picked me up, as I dropped my head into his shoulder.

I felt his arm open the car door, and set me in.

"Sh, it will be okay."

The car ride was silent.

"I'm sorry." I managed to blurt out.

"No don't apologize until I know what happened" Matt replied.

We got home and Matt let me down at the couch.

"Now tell me, what the hell happened"

"Alex" I choked on my words.

"Who?"

"Her boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend i guess." Nick replied for me.

"He's back, and I-i don't know how he found me."

"You're moving in, now."

"No, I'm not. Matt, I don't have a job. I can't pay you rent."

"Do you think I care about money? Jenn, he could hurt you."

I wipe my eyes

"Were going to Disney." I said.

Matt was angered.

"No."

"Matt, I need something to do besides think about him. And I'm not ruining a beautiful day for you guys to."

"It'll be fine Matt, as long as your up to it Jenn."
