We walk and laugh as we head to Ms. Demlet's. Talking about the class and personal topics. All I can do is look at him and smile like the lovesick puppy I am.
I still don't understand how I have fallen for him in a span of a few weeks. I wonder if he knows that I've had my eye on him since he's moved here. I'm not sure he realizes that I live across the street from him.
"Hello class. For those of you who don't know me I'm Ms. Demlet and I'm the AV teacher. I hope this year we can be successful in all the festivals."
He leaned over and whispered"Wait, y'all have festivals here?!"
"Yeah, give her a second and she'll start going on about it."
"Miss Kore, now just because you're a senior and have been the top student for the class doesn't mean you can start talking or ignoring me now."
"Yes ma'am. I'm sorry."
"Ms. Demlet, it's my fault. I was just in disbelief that y'all had festivals for this class. My last school didn't."
"Well I'm glad you're excited for our festivals, Mr.?"
"Michael."
Ms. Demlet looks through her roster.
"Ah, Mr. Michael Eros."
"Yes ma'am."
"Eros, like the Greek God of Desire?"
"Yes ma'am."
He started blushing. I couldn't help but smile and let out a little giggle."Well looks like our Goddess of the Underworld finds that entertaining."
I felt my cheeks turn redder than a redhead who got sunburned.
The whole class was now staring at me."Guess it's a good thing Hades isn't here." Michael said trying to take their eyes off of me.
I suppose it worked in a way as for a distraction away from me. Everybody turned back to the front as they heard the abrupt laughter coming from Ms. Demlet.
After she finally collected herself she continued on with the class. Talking about expectations and festivals."Alright class by the end of next week I need y'all introduction videos done. After that we will start working on our Halloween Film Festival entires. If you choose to opt out of the festival you will still have to do work. We'll discuss that more next week."
She finished saying as the bell rang.
Michael and I started to he was out of the classroom. He walked in front holding the door open."I'll see-"
"OH MY GOD SAIR!!"
I quickly turned around to see Amber running towards me while Leslie dragged behind. Of course it was her who would be interrupting me."We missed you at lunch girl! Where were you?! Michelle said you dumped us for some creepy new kid?"
"God Leslie do you ever shut up."
I saw Michael start to walk away with a sad smile on his face.
"Look I got tons of homework to get started on. I'll catch up with y'all later."
I started to head towards Michael.
"Geez what's her problem."
I head Leslie say and turned around to give a stare and rolled my eyes at her.
By the time I got to the doors I saw Michael in the parking lot leaning on his car. I smiled and started to jog over to him.
"Hey, sorry about them. Amber is ditzy and Leslie, well she is just a complete bitchy snob."
He chuckled and I smiled and started to blush."Well like I was going to say before I got so rudely interrupted. I'll see you in about an hour then?"
"Yeah for sure."
I started to walk towards my car when I heard Michael shout.
"Wait where do you live?"
All I could do was just smile for the moment.
"Like you don't already know."
I said teasingly with a huge (but defiantly stupid) grin.
He returned the grin, chuckled and got into his car.
