3 months.
He had three months left. By then, Sam had found out what Dean had sold. They had tried so much to get him out of his deal...
"Beth, I told you. You can't get rid of the deal without Sam dying." Dean said, taking the demon knife out of her hand. A demon named Ruby had given it to them. Why? Lizbeth had no idea. But the blade had come in handy. Lilith, who was possibly the most vicious demon the siblings had encountered yet, was holding Dean's contract. That fact clouded Lizbeth's judgement. A lot.
"Dean... We have to save you."
"No. You don't."
Sam walked up, interrupting the two. "Hey, so get this," he said, "Apparently a man shot himself in the head a few towns over. We should check it out."
Lizbeth smiled, contradicting her usual sad frown. "Sure."
Four hours later...
"So stiffs are calling their loved ones?" Dean confirmed, turning towards Sam.
"I guess so. Call Beth, ask her to research it." Both brothers knew that their sister loved to study. Sam handed Dean his knife, and started walking towards a local diner. "I'll get some grub."
Dean nodded. He dialed Beth's number. She picked up after two rings. "Hey, Dean." She said. Lizbeth was probably holding the phone like she usually did. The phone wedged between her ear and her shoulder, while her hands held  a book or fiddled with a computer. She was almost as good as Sam when it came to research.
"Beth, find out what you can about ghosts calling people. Can you?"
"Alright. Wait, I'm getting another call."
She hung up, and answered the other number.
"Hello?" She answered, forcing her most cheerful voice.
"Lizzy?"
No. She hadn't heard that voice in years. She hadn't expected to hear it ever again.
"Lizzy, it's me. Daniel."
Lizbeth hung up and cried.
30 minutes later...
"Beth?" Sam called, placing a bag full of greasy burgers and French fries on the old motel table. Lizbeth poked her head out of the bathroom. She had been applying make up to hide the redness around her eyes, along with wiping away the tears. "Yeah?" She asked, shuffling out of the bathroom and pulling a large, hot burger out of the bag. "Did you find anything?" Sam pulled a salad out of the bag for himself. Lizbeth rolled her eyes, and took a bite of her burger. She swallowed, before saying, "Not much. Except..." She cut herself off, remembering Danny's voice. She took another large bite, and wiped some ketchup from the side of her mouth.
"Except...?" Sam put emphasis on the word. She swallowed dryly, and whispered, "Daniel called me."
Sam choked on his drink. "Daniel?"
"Yes." Her voice was so small, so fragile. As if she was one word away from breaking apart. She probably was. Fresh tears threatened her, but she held them back.
3 hours later...
"Dad? Dad called you?" Sam exclaimed, slightly unnerved. "What did he say?"
"Just my name." Dean shrugged. "How's things on your end?"
"You're not the only one hearing ghosts." Sam gestured to Lizbeth, who was currently curled up in a fetal position, wrapped up in blankets, sleeping soundly with dried tears still streaking her face. Dean gave a slightly worried look. "Who was it?"
"Daniel, her dead brother." Sam sighed, and glanced towards his sister. She was starting to toss and turn. Her nightmares were starting up.
The next day...
"Lizzy? Are you there?"
"Yes." She breathed, her voice weak.
"Good. I made it to heaven!" Daniel beamed.
"You did?" She was trying to remain calm.
"Yeah, they have a phone here. Who would have thought?"
"Not me?"
"So the word here is that you became a hunter."
"Yeah. I-It's good, I guess."
"I hope you try to be safe."
"Of course, Danny." She let out a silent sob.
"I'm sorry you miss me so much."
"Don't be."
Lizbeth stopped the call, and cried more.

The calls didn't stop until Sam killed the monster that was causing it. A crocotta. Yet the sadness remained, and Lizbeth wished that maybe Sam would have let the monster live.
Just so she could hear Daniel's voice once more.
